Truely sorry

Everyone, I am very sorry for the topic I have posted. A friend of mine has shown me the light. The theory states that a cruise missle hit the pentagon instead of a plane. If this is true, then where did that flight go? A black hole? This never could have been pulled off. Again guys, my truest apolo...

Re: A day in the field

I hear ya Earl. That's what I love about the great outdoors. But there aren't that many groundhogs on this farm. I've seen two in the past 2 years. I shot one with my 22 mag. The other was crossing the road. He made it so hopefully I will meet up with him in the near future. :D

A day in the field

My friend and I went crow hunting yesterday. We sat for a good 3 hours in our hide in the woodline by a field where they usually go to feed just before dark and early in the morning. They never flew in but we heard them all around us. Even though we didn't kill anything we did have a good day. Here'...

WOW 204 sniper, now THAT is a group! It looks like I've got some rough competition as I'm in the factory/factory class as well. Glad to see you can participate. The more competition, the more worthy the bragging rights!

skipper: send some of that rain over here, we've been gettin about one day of rain every two weeks. I'll be shooting my Remington 700 ADL with Hornady 32's. Scope is a Leupold 2-7x33 shotgun scope with turkey plex reticle. Here's a pic of her setup and ready for action on the 850 yard range. http://...

My rifle is a factory Remmy 700 ADL but has been tweaked a little so is that factory custom or factory production?

Either way, I'm in!

Thanks for all the info Rick, you never seem to fail me! :D I don't reload yet, but may use that info in the future. About the optics issue, I'm sort of on a budget right now. This is gonna be this winter's project so I'm thinkin, with a little saving, maybe a Bushnell 3200 in the low-to-mid power r...

Don't know about the 40's but people say the 32's usually record about 100 fps slower than listed. I don't know as I don't have a chrony. Take cracker's advice and use the bullet that shoots the most accurate out of your rifle. Because if it doesn't hit the target, who cares how fast it's going.

Calling all 22 Hornet owners

OK, to make a long, hard to explain story short, I'm just gonna say that I'm getting a 22 Hornet for a walking rifle and am needin some advice from those who have one. 1. How often do you clean it for peak accuracy? 2. What's a good zero range? 3. Any scope suggestions (within $150). 4. Which barrel...

Yes, always sight in at the highest power. That way, even if POI isn't the same at different powers then it'll be zeroed at the power you use most anyway. :D

Long range target

A target at what I consider long range. Not too shabby for only a 7x Leupy. Target: 2x2.5 inch dot on a gallon vinegar jug filled with water. Range: 425 lasered yards http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t93/sniper2o4/target-1.jpg This is probably the best I've done so far. And the farthest I've shot,...
