I am going to take photos of rifle and target and email it to someone if they would post it. Please let me know. I was using factory 34gr win amo and was pleasantly surprised with t...

Re: New CZ!

Well I just picked up my south paw 527 this morning and I hope if the weather is half decent I will be out at the range tomorrow. I know the barrel is a little short but if I can get under a 1'' moa @ 100 that should at least scare everything I shoot at. I was advised by a friend before he passed th...

New Rifle

Hi, Well a real good guy I met on another forum passed away about a month ago and it is so sad. Bob was a 204 nut and he talked me into trading off my Savage Model 12 and I picked up a CZ American 527. I do not know if anything will beat the accuracy of my model 12 but the CZ is alot nicer to look a...

Re: 39 gr. sierra and H4895

Hi, I have been shooting the 39gr bk for a couple of years now and using H4895. I been loading 26.7 grs and using BR4 primers. At 200 yards and no wind I can cover 5 shots with a dime. I have a 6 X 24 B&L 4000 elite on top. I have taken a number of coyotes with it out to 500 yards and gophers @ ...

Trying a new bullet.

Hi Guys, I have been a loyal 39 gr SBK using H4895 and have had real good success. Every person I talk with that is shooting the 204 with a 1-12 twist states that I should be shooting the Berger 35gr. so today I broke down and bought a couple of boxes. I am leaving for the farm this coming Sunday fo...

Re: Yote off of the deck

Hi Gube, I am from Regina Sask and I saw that you were using the Berger 35 I just picked some up today to try as I have been using 39 SKB using H4350 powder. A number of the guys in this area state that with a 1-12 twist the bullet to use is the 35gr. I was wondering if you ever have used them with ...

Re: 39gr SBK's and twist rate

Hey Savage250, I am shooting a Savage FLV in the 204 and I started with 32gr Vmax and could not get anything going with them. I switched to the 39gr BKs and everything tighten right up. I have had the rifle for just about a year and I am getting under .5 @ 100yards when I can shoot straight. The load...

Hey Guys, I have shot 7 coyotes this fall and I am shooting 39BK and 26.5 grs of H4895 powder ranges for approximately 80 yards out to 400 to 500 yards and I have not had many one shot kills. Interesting conversation

I was talking with a couple of gentlemen regarding match primers over regular primers and they both have shooting for many years. I was advised by the one who has shot with almost every big name hunter that I have heard of and he also tests many of the top products. He advised that even the top guys...
