32 V-max will kill fox just fine but other than bait chunks forget the pelt. Dick

I shot 3 last year@ between 125 & 150 yds w/FL Hornady v-max Factory loads. No pictures-Too nasty. 3 Fox turned into 6+. Got a 17 Fireball. No shots yet. Dick

Rick, Thanks for the info. I got the t/c venture because my Savage wouldn't shoot the 40's and I have a goodly supply. The Venture just loves the Factory Hornady 40's. I hvve the Berger 35's but will try some 40's next. Will load the 35's for both guns.

Does anyone like the 40 Gr for coyotes? See a lot about the 35 but nothing on the 40.

Matthew, You have received 5 good answers for your problem. If you got to the range again you should have found out that cleaning is not the problem. "Just barely touching is the problem". Just barely is still touching and the vibes for each shot will effect it + as the barrel heats up and...

Bought the 204 Venture because of the 10 twist. My Savage 25 would not shoot the factory load Hornady 40 gr. and I had a ton of them. I will try the 35 Berger and 39 Sierra but I am 5 for 5 @ 185 to 210 Yards and still have a lot to burn up.

It will work real well and you already have it.

I got a T/C Venture because my Sav. 25 shot patterns not groups w/40's. $399.-75. @ Grice's in PA. Shoots great. Just Zeroed @ 200 and am 5 for 5 to date @ 185 to 210 yds.

FWIW; IMR has recalled about 6 lots of 4007SSC. I have never used it or heard of it for .204. Don't know what is for but maybe some on here has it. www.imrpowder.com has the info. Dick
