Re: 204 for fox.

The 204 is capable of blowing a Fox in 1/2. I doubt you will be disappointed in it's performance on Fox out to 400yds.

Here is an Ohio groundhog. In my opinion they have a tougher skin than a Fox.

Re: New CZ712

Yeah those are nice shotguns!! Wouldn't mind having one myself but the "cheap old SOB" in me wont approve that kinda $$.  I originally thought it was a recoil operated shotgun as well. Come to find out it's gas operated. So a win/win in my case for the money. When I was re...

Re: New CZ712

Just walked back in the door!! I went yesterday AM early to look for crows. I found about 100 or so. They were evenly divided between 2 fields about 8 miles apart. Last night on the way home from the store we seen probably 250 crows flying in the general direction of one of those 2 fields to roost. ...

Re: Bipods

I've been shooting groundhogs for quite a few years now & have never owned a bipod. Prolly never will. It just adds weight IMO. I prefer a 3 legged chair with my homemade adjustable sticks for the crop fields. We shoot those fields until the hay is cut. By then the crops are too tall. Hay field ...

Re: Reloading bench

I like the hutch idea for the back of the bench. Lots of extra storage within easy reach yet out of the way. You done good!!

Now all that's left is to tear it all down. Move it outta the way. And drywall the room!!

Re: CZ 527 Question

A heavier barrel doesn't normally heat up as fast as a thinner barrel but the trade off is the thinner barrel cools quicker. JMO

Re: 32 grain V-max or 39 grain Blitzking for Rockchucks?

What I found over here in Ohio is the 32gr'ers start running out of steam at the 250yd mark. Now they will still kill but your shot placement needs to be more precise at the longer ranges. They don't seem to have the explosiveness so you will need to hit them in the sweet spot of the chest. Just my ...

Re: Rifle Basix triggers

RifleBasix is neither a Shilen nor a Timney. Neither is their price the last time I checked. I have 2 in Marlin rimfires & for the money I recommend them highly as well. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

Re: Did i make a mistake

The most important thing to do is take it apart & clean it before you shoot it. After that the break-in process is a personal thing. Personally I won't do the shoot & clean thing til I've wasted all of my valuable components. JMHO   Congratulations on the new rig & on t...
