Re: Somethin to play with.

Good brush hunting gun but can be rattly and the trigger is more like a shotgun trigger pull.

Re: 35 Berger ?s

Well, I figured out that the screw in the back of the trigger group was set out too far causing the sear not to be engaged. Fixed that and headed back out to the range. With the 35 grain bergers seated out with a COL of 2.265 this time and a charge of 27.8 H4895, I shot a 3 shot group that measured ...

Re: 35 Berger ?s

The good news: Shot 1/2 inch group with the bergers using 27.8 H4895 set to 2.250"
The bad news: Attempted to try this load set to 2.265" and no fire. The bolt decocks when I close the bolt. I got a feeling I have a broken sear. Bummer!

Re: 35 Berger ?s

Cool deal! Headed to the range now to test the berger bullets. Will report back with the range report this evening.

If you shoot a CZ, I think your gun will hate them. At least mine sure did.

Re: Accuracy ?

I leave mine fouled for hunting if under 30 rounds have been fired. Any more than that, I clean it then dry it out before shooting again.

? for CZ 527 Varmint shooters using 35 Begers

Care to share your accuracy load with me? I have H322, H4895, W748, and Varget on hand. Just picked up 4 boxes of these berger bullets today with coyotes in mind. Time to get started working up some loads soon. If you have a pet load you don't mind sharing I'm all ears! Please include your cartridge...

Re: 35 Berger ?s

Thinks for the info guys! I picked up 4 boxes of 35 grain bergers today and 2 lbs of H4895. Do any of you have a pet load using this bullet with H4895 or H322 in a CZ 527 Varmint? I have both powders and going to work up some test loads here real soon and see what happens. I agree with you thumper, ...

35 Berger ?s

I have heard this bullet is very fur friendly on coyote. How is it on fox and bobcat? H322 works very well in my CZ w/32 V-max. Are any of you guys using this powder with the bergers? if so, are you able to get by with the same exact load for both bullets? Thanks for whatever info/experience you can...

Re: CZ rifle shooters

Here's what I use that works in my CZ Varmint 204:
32 V-max 2.325"
40 B-Tip 2.250"

Re: Nosler 32

Boattails offer no real advantage inside of 300 yards. In fact, there are some advantages to a flat base up to 300 yards. Shoot what is most accurate.

Re: Nosler 32

The 32 B-Tip shot very lousy in my CZ Varminter but the 32 V-max is wicked accurate!

The 40 B-Tip shoots MUCH better than the 40 V-Max in my rifle and within 1/2" POI of the 32 V-max. H322 for the 32/ H335 for the 40 B-Tip is what works for me.

Re: Bad Luck w/ 40gr. Hornady

My rifle does not like 40 grain v-max at all either but it does like 40 ballistic tips. It does not shoot the 32 ballistic tip well but shoots the 32 V-max bullet very very well. Just have to find the bullet it likes the best.
