Re: Flash hole debur
I'd guess this question comes from the negative feedback I gave on wirelessguy's deburr tool he's marketing. Even with that, I don't think the flash hole deburring operation is a big deal. I bet in 100 rounds, it might save you 3 of them moving a .1 around your group. Sometimes, yes, I suppose you m...

Re: 20 cal. Flash Hole Debur Tool UPDATE
March 23rd: I am curious to find out what kind of flash hole deburring tool you guys are currently using for preping your 17 & 20 caliber brass? I would also like to find out what interest if any exists in having a very high quality tool made for a very reasonable price? Any feedback you can pro...

Re: AR BOLT CARRIER EXPLOSION
Ouch. Can you take a wider angle shot so we can see more? Never had any kind of failure in my AR, but was reading last week about staking the screws holding the gas key on the carrier so they can't back out. They're also supposed to be torqued to exactly 59 inch pounds. I can imagine how if they com...

Re: First time loading 1000 duplicate rounds.
One quick observation.....Take some foam, I use 3/8" carpet pad and cut it into squares that will just fit into the top of your ammo boxes. I have started to use 2-sided tape to keep it in place. Your cartidges won't rattle, held in place by the foam in the lid. This will also solve the proble...

Re: First time loading 1000 duplicate rounds.
WOW! I see a Dillon 550 in your future. If there's a way to have press actuated powder drop, case feeder, and bullet feeder, the investment might be well worth it if I have to load this size batch more than once a year. I wonder what it would take to get this set up and running? Or this ? This ? I ...

Re: First time loading 1000 duplicate rounds.
I bought the Lee 50th anniversary set. It has the same powder thrower. I find that the 204 neck fits up into the throw tube. If you Turn it in your fingers as you throw the charge no powder bridges occur and I can charge my cases pretty fast. I almost forgot. Take the funnel that comes with the Lee...

Re: First time loading 1000 duplicate rounds.
I dont think you will have them all at the same level for the powder. By "same", I meant more "checked to see they all had a charge, and were 'nearly' the same level, by eye". I only wanted to verify I didn;t have any up near the case mouth or any so low they'd be a squib load. ...

Re: First time loading 1000 duplicate rounds.
Baba, It's always pleasing when the more experienced members pass on their methods to the less experienced. Although i don't volume load there's still good tips to pick up on. Apart from my 243, my 3 smaller Saturns all need tapping or shaking when powder is dropped in them, so i'm going to try you...

First time loading 1000 duplicate rounds.
I finished my first ever batch of 1000 rounds to take prairie dogging last night. Actually I have some more to do for a variety of firearms I'll take along, but I did 1000 of the same load for my AR-15. (27.8gr Ramshot TAC pushing a 34gr Dogtown bullet at ~3900fps.) I'd say loading up a batch of 40 ...

Re: Scope for S&W 629 Six inch stainless.
Nice setup there Rick. I've been keeping an eye out for a 617 with a 10 round cylinder for a couple years now, but everyone wants in the high $500's range for used ones. I know it's a S&W, but just feels crazy to pay so much for a 22lr. For a 629, I'm sure any Leupold would hold up, and I've rea...

Re: postal shoot
I'm all for another postal shoot. I think it'd be cool to have one of those egg shoots too, except that would have to be live in person I guess. I have a couple items here I'd like to donate as prizes for a postal shoot. Maybe some others do too. (These are things that aren't worth trying to sell on...

Re: Flash Hole Debur Tool, w/pictures
I don't plan on uniforming any more .204 brass for a long time after stocking up on 2000, and I don't have a .17 of any kind. If I did, I would try your tool. You're welcome to send me one to try. I'm not saying your tool won't work. My main hang-up is how you need to depend on the trim length to ma...
