Re: 35s, 39s, or 40s for Coyotes

That is correct. Only one that did not leave an exit was one I shot at about 200 yards broadside on the run. Was a high chest shot that did not exit.

Re: 35s, 39s, or 40s for Coyotes

As far as damage goes.....have only had 1 instance this winter when I have had a sierra 39 grainer NOT exit a yote, then again, my reloads are leaving the barell at 3800+ maybe that has something to do with it.

Re: Help on dies which to buy

Measure the neck OD of some of your reloaded ammo, use a lot of 100 or so rounds, find the one that is the smallest diameter, minus .002" and that si the bushing you need. Using a .224" myself but thinking a .223" may be in order shortly.

http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd6/FireBallGuy/Nvember20th3-1.jpg This was the one taken at 500+ yards, pic is a little dark, taken off my blackberry but I was surprised even at that range the amount of damage that little bullets does! Going on my second full winter of hunting almost exclusivel...

Re: Some of this years kills!

Generally not a big fan of a head shot due to the fact it is usually rather UGLY to look at after the fact. I apparently missed a pic.....In this one, the dog in question was taken at 525 yards (ranged) and 1 39 grain sierra through the lower chest took care of business. At range in particular, we l...

Re: Some of this years kills!

Where we hunt yotes' is not that far out of the big city and with all th " Urban Hunters " shooting the place up, we are hard pressed to get one that is actually standing still. The selected loads this winter are really doing the job. The predator count is pushing 20 and we are barely into...

Re: Which bullet for Bobcat?

I have used the 17 remington's little brother for years, the 17 fireballl. It is my absolute favorite caliber for general plinking and varmint hunting! Cheap to load for, easy on the barrel, minimal cleaning, what more could a varmint hunter want? It is no long range wonder but I have made some very...

Re: Some of this years kills!

Some explanations: The 1st pic was a 200 yards shot running sfraight away, shot her in the back of the head and the bullets, along with her brain came out the eye socket. The second pic was the only standing still yote we have seen in years, 300 yards, 1 blitzking, game OVER! Pic #3 was shot at 450 ...

By this time she was 500+ yards out, my bron in law lines her up and WHAPP! Very impressive shot...

Re: H322 OR H335 for .204?

1st choice is RL-10X and second and last choice is Benchmark. Is a 1/4" gun with either powder and sierra 39 grainers.
