Re: first chuck of the season

Nice lookin hog and wow thats some hail.... I know the feeling about wanting the "blow Up" effect and not getting it. I was out a couple days ago and spotted three just inside the field by a hedgerow. I belly crawled around the bend and snuck up on them. One was still there. I was only may...

Re: Happy Father's Day

Both are Savage VLP's in 204 Ruger. The critters in front are Jersey Ground Hogs. We growem big over here. Our deer are small our ground hogs are big.. go figure.

Re: Leupold Target Scopes

Trent, Thank you for the reply. For me, 1,000 dollars is a lot for a scope and if it is close to the others mentioned it would be worth it to me. I don't have 2,000 plus for a scope. Even 1k is a ton. I am currently looking through a Nikon Monarch and like it but it does have it's issues at high mag...

Leupold Target Scopes

Anyone have any knowlege the, Leupold VX-3 8.5-25x50mm Long Range Target Scope? I was looking at some different scopes and oddly, this was the best price when compared to the Huskamaw, Ziess, Night Force and .... I forgot the other one. Anyway, I know they make a nice scope but have always been lear...

Happy Father's Day

Hello all, been a while since I have been on. Been away from the computer for a while. Had a decent day out for hogs. Only had a couple hours but had a good day all in all. We got out on Tuesday this week and saw 5, killed 4. Turns out if you kill one at over 400 yards you need to adjust your scope ...

Re: My sons first woodchuck

Congratulations to both of you. I know the feeling of sharing the hunt. Unfortunantly here in Jersey my boys can't shoot hogs with a rifle till they are 18 so I have some years to wait. Great memories and I am sure more to come. Nice shooting....

Re: To Ground Hogs Everywhere (Graphic)

Yeah I almost drove out of the field and never saw him. I spotted with the binoc's one more time and found him at about 175 yard just the top of his head from about his eye/ear level above the hole looking across the field. Put the cross hairs on his eye and let it fly. That's one thing, of many, th...

Re: I love this little cartridge!!

Congrats :D I know what your feeling. Last year around January or so I bought my 204 and started the loading process. I shoot ground hogs though, not yotes, but have had the same feeling and still do. Great little cartridge. Lotta fun and very addictive. Welcome and enjoy..
