Shooting coyotes at those distances is no problem with the 204. For minor pelt damage I would use a ballistic tip bullet. I like the 40gr v-max for a ballistic tip however some guns don't like em so then you would have to go with the 39gr BK or the 32gr v-max. Good luck!

I have the same gun as you and my most accurate load is with 40grn bergers and 30grns of BL-C(2)! Shoots ~3800fps and cuts the same hole at 100yds! Or you can say that it is a <.2" MOA load!

The reason I like to use small calibers deer hunting is due to seeing too many run offs with the larger calibers, 270, 30-06, 7mm mag, 300 mag, ect.
