wood is the best to I have found when using the inertia floor bangers it just has enough density and less oh no I may crack my inertia assy.Wood just feels better and not overly hard and enough bounce that you don't flinch each down stroke.

I shoot both a .223 and .308 YHM cans on my .204 and I can think the .308 suppressor is as quiet as the .204 what changes for me is the POI's but if you sight in with the .308 can and only use the same each time you will have a very very hard time telling the difference of sound while some have stat...

FPS will affect alot and move POI's all over the target as far as the 40 grs it could be it just don't like something about them. go out another day with only the same gr load and same lot and shoot for grouping once you fire a couple of fouling shots for the barrel and working towards the bulls eye...

Yes, it is great but just for the sake I even use a .308 cal suppressor on my .204...... to me it seem even more quiet. It maybe just me but the db's difference I am not able to distingush again to me only when were at the range and my dad shoot my .223 the POI are different and me hitting the bulls...

I shoot the DG's in .204 and I am using 27.0 with W-748 COL - 2.279 and the measurement with my hornady compartor is -3.017 on MY RIFLE and I will dial in my scope with turrets out to 500 yrs. Using a range finder and they are spot on I am using a NOSLER- Hollow point data in my layman's 49'th edit....
