Re: 34gr Dogtown and RL-10X
I agree Bill. I too saw accuracy degrade and a pressure increase on heavier charges. I prefer accuracy to blinding speed too. I'll be doing a 20 round test today to be sure my initial results weren't a fluke. Tom Exactly what I am finding out Tom. I am also playing with 8208xbr and like it, as well...

Re: Firing pin
First are you talking about reloaded ammo, with standard primers? If so go to a 7 1/2 Rem or another brand with thicker metal. If this is with standard, store bought ammo. Then either you or a gunsmith should check the firing pin and ever so little shorten it, til the problem stops.. That would be m...

Re: R C B S competition dies
Anybody have experience with these? Am thinking of upgrading from standard two die set. What is your favorite die maker and why ? :?: I use mostly RCBS dies, although I have some Redding and Hornady. RCBS, WHY? because a phone call to them in Oroville, Ca. will get results and anything that they ma...

Re: 34gr Dogtown and RL-10X
Tom. I am getting results about the same and in the same load range, as you. I tried going higher into the mid to high 25gr range and did start showing pressure signs, so have backed off. Especially with the 39 gr Sierra BK's. I mostly go for accuracy rather than speed,so that is not a problem with ...

Dave. To answer your post, just scan the various other posts that talk and show some of the parties loads/powders. You should be able to see some that interest you, for starters. Just drop most, if not all, of them some and work up in your rifle. Better to be safe than sorry. Bill K

Re: Finding loads
I wish when someone says too loud, I could allow them to fire my 14 inch .375 JDJ, it is ported and even with the Pachmyer grips, etc. it is LOUD and rocks in your hand, very smartly. But Oh is it fun to shoot and it puts them down. Bill K

Re: looking for a 25 wssm
Of all the .25 cal, everything I read is that the 25wssm is the worst one. I went the 25-06 route with a Rem 700 and have not looked back. Check out those .25's and do what you think best. Bill K

Re: head space
Super demonstration and explaination. I thought about the same with my Rem700 and a Begara barrel, but they do not (that I can find out) have any in 204ruger. So will probably go with Pac-nor. It would be fun to do your own and you sure showed the way. I have also watched Begara's video on their we...

Re: Zeroing in?
Nice looking setup Rick.. I see you mention 11" twist. I see Pac-nor lists the 12 as most popular. Is the 11 better? I have talked/email Penny re. my Rem 700(223) rebarreled to 204. Bill K

Mostly 100 yrds. usually set POI 1 1/2 inch high. Then I shoot and check POI at 200 and 300 yrds. Bill K

Re: 6.5 creedmoor, any good ?
The 6.5 has always been a favorite in Europe. It is gaining favor in the U.S. In the creedmore it is doing very well according to various reports and write ups in the gun mags. You should be happy with it. However if you are wanting it for much varminting, the recoil will be more than a 204/223/20Va...

Re: stuck cases ...wth
+1 on the Imperial Sizing Wax. I love the stuff. Like Rick said, it wipes of as easily as it goes on. That little tin lasts for a long long time too. A little goes a long way with that slippery stuff! Never used the dry neck lube but I think I may pick some up. Totally agree, Imperial Sizing Wax is...

Yep, just the price, is the difference. Weather you purchase them from Midway USA or Midsouth shooters.. Reduced loads and filler
I am playing with some reduced loads in the 223 and 22-250 using SR 4759. I am placing some filler i.e. spun cotton to fill and maintain the powder in place. Do any of you do likewise. Seems like, way back, I read where your loads are safer and that you should hold the powder in place. Opinions or s...
