Re: Rem 700 suggestions

All the powder that is going to burn does so generally in the 1st couple of inches, once pressure drops from the bullets progress increasing chamber volume the expanding hot gases do the rest. The powder that produces the best velocities in your manual will do so in any normal barrel length when com...

Re: Better powder dispenser

http://www.quick-measure.com/index.htm These are great for the guy that uses extruded powders. I have found mine to toss extreemly consistant charges of powders like R22, H4831, imr4350 etc. Ball powder are spot on for all practical purposes. The only measure I am aware of that "may" do be...

Re: Bought Remington small rifle 6.5 primers by accident..

Do NOT use Rem 6.5 primers in high pressure rounds (17 Rem and above). These are manufactured for low pressure rounds like 22 Hornet, etc. You WILL experience a blown primer. You WILL have metal particles exiting the vent in the side of your action. Your firing pin and bolt face will be torched by ...

Re: savage 10/110 problems/guestions

Check the stock inside and out for cracks. I had a rifle develope a small crack behind the tang that went from a .75" shooter to a 3" scattergun in the same range session. The crack was only ~ .5/.75" long and closed up at rest to the point I missed it, but my smith found it when chec...

cooper price

I found a used used Cooper this weekend, I`m not sure of the model # but it has the synthetic Phoenix stock and I believe its a M22. Chambering is 6x45 (6/223). Redding dies are in the deal for ~$900. no rings or bases. I didn`t have time to look it over much but it appeared to be in nice shape. Is ...

Re: Lyman and Dillon Dies

I use Lyman for all my pistol reloading. Love the "M" expander die and would recommend it to anyone loading straight walled cartridges.

Are you lubing the inside of the case mouths?
