speed it not everything in the 204 u should be loading for the most accurate load , the 204 has more than enough speed with mild loads ,as u said the powder in the hornady bullets is a propriety powder for the superformance range i know its not available here in aus nor would i use anyway with speed...

ive now done alot of work with 8208 and its too fast for the heaver bullets and settles down with the 32 grain bullets try and find some h4895 u wont beat it 8208 is superb in the 222 ren with 40 grainers im getting tiny holes cheers bazz

My Tikka preferes 32gr bk's, haven't found a load with any Hornady bullets that will group less than 1". I have some other 39 and 40 gr bullets to try just need the tjme to do it. I'm very happy with the 32gr Sierras out to 300 on coyotes and gophers. my tikka thrives on 39 bks with 27 1/2 gra...

Seems to me he's saying if he fully seats a rem he gets failures. Left a little proud they work. Just the way I read it perhaps. Excessive headspace coupled with hard primers causing insufficient strikes? apart from whats been said that will do it he hasnt said if once fired or new brass or whether...

This is only a sugestion try and get hold of a primer pocket uniformer and uniform the primer pockets ,be cause if the anvil inside the primer is not firmly against shell it can cause miss fires some times the pocket is a bit rough or tight and did u notice if the primers that didnt fire were stick7...

thanks bob i like the 39s they shoot really well in the tikka and they a tough i do ask a lot out of the 204 i shoot some very big animals at times and stretch the barrel but if the price keeps going up ill start shooting the 32s cheers bazz
