I have been working on my .243 as a way of wrestling with the option of buying the .204. In the past my .243 only shot 1"-2" groups. I changed bullets from Hornady 55gr V-Max to Sierra 55gr BK. The difference was amazing. The Sierra shoot .6"-.5" groups. Now I'm going to work on ...

Hey Derby, I have been looking at the same rifle. Beautiful gun. I've been trying to choose between the Kimber and a Remington 700 VLS. The Kimber is clearly the better looking rifle, a little more than one pound lighter, and will hold it's value, but my local Cabela's says it will take 6 mo to 1 ye...

I have a Timney in my Remington 700 VSF .223. It is a very crisp trigger set at my desired weight of 2 lbs. I shoot p-dogs from a rest and it sure makes shooting a treat. Wish they made one for Ruger #1, which is my .204.

Could you guys tell me what you have to do to "take out the bumps in the barrel"? I don't have many gunsmithing skills and my favorite gunsmith just closed his business due to health problems. Please let me know what you do. Tom

I'm thinking about buying the above rifle. I have it in .243 and my brother has it in .223. My .243 shoots OK..1-2" groups (I'm working to make it better.) and my brother's .223 shoots great half inch groups Here's the dilemma, I have a .204 Ruger #1 that shoots 1" groups, but tends to ove...
