Bulk ammo

Is there any particular place that's better for buying 204 Superformance ammo in bulk or do you guys just go through the local gun shop?

Re: 204 Ruger AR barrel

Thanks cosh, I'll have to decide what twist I want as well. Correct me if I'm wrong but the heavier bullets (39 grain) are more accurate if they spin faster with a 1/10 rather than a 1/12? Lighter bullets (32 grain) do better with a slower spin such as 1/12? Am I right with that? Thanks again for th...

Re: 204 Ruger AR barrel

Thanks Tejas jd, I posted on another forum and am hearing about Black Hole Weaponry, Wilson Combat Barrels, Predator Technology Group, Lilja. So it looks like I have a few to look into. I appreciate the advice. If anyone else has experience with any of these barrels feel free to let me know! thanks

204 Ruger AR barrel

I'm hoping some of you can share your experiences on barrels you use on your AR 204's. I currently have a White Oak's varmint barrel and while the rifle is a tack-driver, I'm looking to replace it with a shorter, lighter barrel that is still accurate. What do you guys shoot? What length barrel do yo...

Re: Coyote hunting in missouri

Around $10 on the coyotes. Not sure on the foxes. They won't let me shoot the bobcats in Illinois...yet.

Re: Coyote hunting in missouri

I've had simiar results as Melvin. Did manage to call a pair in this morning around 8 am. Brought them out of a timber into a pasture bottom. I shot this male at about 95 paces. They came in to coyote vocalizations. No distress sounds were used..... until after the shot! http://img.photobucket.com/a...

Re: ND Coyote Hunt on 12-9-2011--Photos

Fun hunt! If it was someones dog, I'd say the vet didn't get his dewclaw totally removed and it was coming back! That looks like an ooooold coyote by the looks/description of his teeth! Maybe has evaded a lot of coyote hunters....until he came across you! Thanks again for the story.

Nice write-up, Silverfox! Good to hear you give the reds a free pass, I do the same here in Illinois as their numbers are down. Stay warm & take care out there!!

Re: 11-12-2010 ND Coyote Hunt

Good hunting, Silverfox !!! It never ceases to amaze me how you can call coyotes in terrain that appears wide open with little cover. Here in Illinois, I have to practically crawl into the brush with them because they are too wary to come out in the open during the daytime! Hopefully your deer seaso...

Re: To build or not to build, that is the question

So I bought the AR-Stoner multi tool (Product #: 271183) at Midway to use for torquing on the rifle length receiver extension (buffer tube) and noticed the hole in the middle that I put over the end of the buffer tube would slip, preventing me from getting a good torque on it. The buffer tube is a D...
