Ruger 10/22 Takedown Folding Woody
Thought the Ruger 10/22 Takedown models were a neat item. Thought it would be even better with a Butler Creek folding stock. So, commenced to making one. Ended up with this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/dcloco/BlackRuger_zpsfe09f4cf.jpg ...another black rifle. Ho hum... So.....thought this...

Re: don't have pawnshops to stay out of...
VERY nice! Wife & I went to Tractor & Supply last night. She said, "I might as well go in with you, otherwise, you will wander or start talking to somebody". She wandered.....I looked at gun safes. Cannon 48 gun tall and wide.....with two miner scratches on the paint. I RAN back to...

WTB - 1" Rings for Ruger M77/Mii for x50mm/x52mm
Need some rings for a recent Ruger M77 Mark II target rifle I just acquired. Need rings to mount a 1" tube x50mm or x52mm endbell scope.
Stainless preferred, but blue/black/matte is OK too.
Email is best. ACLOCO@YAHOO.COM
Trade for or purchase outright.

....and it is probably about a 50/50 chance that the dealer whom accepted the trade in, does not know they have a bum firearm on their hands either.

Thanks to a couple forum members
Wanted to pass along THANKS to a couple of forum members who answered my call for reloading equipment to help conduct NRA Metallic Cartridge Reloading classes. Tried to generate interest one way and decided to offer class through the local community college adult education classes. Hopefully this wi...

New to me pistol...problems and solutions
Have been looking for a double action revolver in 22 rimfire to purchase for teaching NRA and concealed carry classes without breaking the bank either. Found a stainless Taurus model 94 at a gunshop 2.5 hours east of here for $300. Wow...perfect. I have a couple other Taurus revolvers and have enjoy...

Re: New Ruger( to me )
WOW!!!
I am looking for this or the same in 22 rimfire. Excellent rifle.
Personally, I think you need some magnification on 22 rimfires of any kind. IMHO, at least a 4-16x50.
One of my favorite flavors to find...Bushnell or Tasco that were made in Japan (stamped on the eyepiece).

22 Long Rifle - 200 yards?
There is a local shoot using only 22 LR rimfire rifle or pistol and the distance to target is 200 yards. I have a 10" bull barrel Ruger Mark II and two 10/22's. Both 10/22's have aftermarket barrel - one is a Shilen and the other is a Volquartzen. Can honestly say, I have no clue if any of the ...

Re: Savage 204 range report.... Feedback please
Scale, as long it is it consistent (read that repeatable), will work.
Accuracy is in consistent neck tension, runout, distance to lands .....and you.
If you are using a chronograph, this will, generally, tell you the sweet spot for speed in this barrel.

Re: Savage 204 range report.... Feedback please
How are you controlling neck tension? What I see in those groups (very good, by the way)....is neck tension is raising it's head.....hence, the occasional flyer. Thanks acloco. I do not anneal my brass and I can tell a difference when I'm seating my bullets. What is the best way to control neck ten...
