Re: FS: 204 Ruger ammunition

Thanks, JD. I was getting a little worried you were giving up on the 204. My 700 likes 32 gr SBKs. I'm planning on going pdog shooting soon with an old AF buddy of mine.

Re: FS: 204 Ruger ammunition

Did you give up on the 204 or did you find better ammo? I know my AR likes those 40 gr factory Hornadys.

Re: Info on some of the shortages

Yes, Ammo is coming back but not all the reloading powders. Try to find Unique. I've been traveling recently from New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas. No one has any. One dealer said he had contacted Alliant which makes Unique and was told not to expect any for a long while.

Re: Anyone make a bolt rifle with threaded barrel for .204 Ruger

Well, I couldn't find locally what I wanted so ended up buying a used Remington 700 chambered in 204 Ruger. Took it to my guy locally who threaded it. Haven't had a chance to get back out to shoot it suppressed yet since I'm traveling.

Must have been a quick sale 'cause it's all gone. All I see is the $49.95 price and "out of stock."

Re: Are adjustable gas blocks worth the extra money?

Tejas JD: Been on vacation to California to the grandkids for last month (and to help out). Anyway, my view is the adjustable gas block is VERY useful ONLY on the SBRs, especially with suppressors, to make sure you can cycle your ammo, especially subsonics. That's my two cents.

Anyone make a bolt rifle with threaded barrel for .204 Ruger

I've been spoiled by shooting suppressed rifles. I just built an AR in .204 Ruger with a threaded barrel but now would like to buy a bolt rifle in the same caliber that is "suppressor ready." Does anyone make such a beast. I know Savage has come out with a few new rifles with threaded barr...

Re: Anyone shoot 32 gr Blitzkings in 1-9 twist?

rbp75503: Could you publish your load data, OAL and anything else on your loads. I'm trying to get my load correct for both the 39 and 32 SBKs using RL10X and BR4 primers. I think I'm having problems with not getting the cases resized to factory specs since my OAL is good as far as being right on fo...

Re: Help with varmint upper build

My thought on this is that I didn't use the full-case sizing die. I have never reloaded rifle before (I shoot a lot of birds) and I had someone help me using my 3-piece Redding die set, my powder, bullets and primers in his press. I think he may have picked the wrong one from the set and we didn't d...

Re: 17 HMR Which one?

I've seen a lot of 17 HMR ammo out here in Albuquerque. But to get back on topic, I have two 17 HMRs. First (in order of purchase) is a Savage with their accutrigger. It's the stainless one with the laminated wood thumb-hole stock and stainless bull barrel. Topped with a Trijicon TR23, it's super ac...

Re: Help with varmint upper build

TEJAS JD--BTW, I have a JD too but I'm sure mine goes back a ways (1969!). Anyway, I just took that rifle to the range today to re-sight it in after I removed the barrel to get it threaded for my suppressor. I was shooting factory Hornady 40 gr Vmaxes which I shot before. They fit my metal AR mags j...
