Re: timney triggers

From Timney's website:

http://www.timneytriggers.com/sunshop/c ... n-6-1.html

Nothing listed for Model 7. Now then, I do not know whether Model 7 and 700 factory triggers are different. Someone else can chime in here.

Merry Christmas to one and all! ;)

Re: WW and Rem .204 brass

By golly, no 204 brass anywhere I checked online. All the usual suspects are out. ????

Reminds me of 2005.

Re: IMR 4320 in a 204?

From a burning rate perspective, I don't see any problem. Below is copied from Hodgdon's online burn rate chart. IMR 4320 is #74, in between many of the favorite powders we've come to know and trust in 204. H4895 is #69, BL-C(2) is #83. (This chart is a little dated. No Reloader 10X, has Reloader 12...

Re: Hornady V-Max OAL Problems!

You're welcome, John, although you already had all the bases covered. This one is a head scratcher.

Let us know what Hornady comes up with.

Re: Hornady V-Max OAL Problems!

John,

Are these fired cases? If so, have you brushed the inside of the necks?

If I get lazy and skip this step bullets will seat to different OAL.

I chuck up a 22 or worn out 243 brush in a drill and run the case in and out.

Re: Postal Shoot Excuses

Glenn, Yeah, Kansas City got us 2 of 3. That really stinks. Then Cleveland came to town and swept my lads three straight. Just like me and the Postal Shoot, the Twins will have to wait till next year. Smoke deflecting bullets? Wish I had thought of that. Best wishes to those who have yet to shoot. W...

Postal Shoot Excuses

 I shot yesterday, and have had a chance to think about it. Top reasons why my groups were bigger than expected: 1.) Too windy 2.) Barrel got hot 3.) Barrel got dirty 4.) Different target than I'm used to 5.) Forgot to clean primer pockets 6.) Throat erosion since last time I really shot for gr...

WZRWALDO I agree with your further thoughts on including aftermarket barrels in Factory Custom. My Rem VLS with a Shilen wouldn't really fare well against a Stolle or Panda or somesuch in a Custom class shootout. Come to think of it, with 3000+ rounds shot hot and dirty at PDs, that barrel doesn't h...

Remington VLS. Shilen SS #8 heavy bull - 26". Freefloated and glass bedded. Bushnell 4200 6x24x40 mildot. The goal is not top speed. This is a prairie dog gun that weighs 15 pounds. Looking for loads I can shoot 100 an hour and not worry about barrel heating. I've settled on: 32 VMAX - Winchest...
