Earl, Mine is starting to do the same thing. same CCIBR4 primers 1 out of every10-20 are not firing. I thought is was the primers since these are about 20 years old but if you are having the same problem then it might be the guns. One thing I noticed it that I had a lot of oil in mine and it was wor...

ulem nm This is my first year trying to call in coyotes too and I’ve learned a lot. In 2 weeks around Christmas I called in 6 yotes and only got one. All the others were my fault mostly not staying long enough in one area, on one I made one distress call then decide I wasn’t in the bes...

I have the Lee trimmer and have had it for > 20 years. What I’ll do when I get to the point were I need to trim the 204 is either take a 22 pilot to a machine shop with a case that has be resized and have them turn it down I bet someone would do it for $10, or chuck it in a drill and use a fi...

the 40's put a pretty big entrance hole in coyotes there is another post here talking about why it would put a big entrance hole. Think it’s expending so much energy after entering that you get a kind of blowback that gives you a softball size hole with no exit hole. Most use 35gr Berger if y...

I’m at the tail end of the scope run around, and about the end of my rope. I’m on my 3ed scope for the 204 in about 2 months. Finally I went to Cabala’s and bass pro shop and did a lot of comparison. I didn’t look at a Mueller, but looked at a lot of others and I have to ...

I wish it was legal to attach a light to the gun here in Colorado. I do most of my hunting alone and it’ll be hard to hold the light and shoot at the same time.

Nice cats by the way.

Yes I have to admit that that is one of the most incredible sights in my 39 years. I had the hammer back just in case he decided that the “GIT” wasn’t scary enough. I thought a lot about how close the Jan 1st start of the season is and weather or not the DOW would let me keep the ...

While on the subject, does using a hand priming tool make that much difference in accuracy? I have a progressive and single stage press, I only use the progressive for pistol reloading were I go through a lot of rounds. I’ve only used the single staged press for my 204 because I like to measu...

I might start caring a sidearm when I’m out by myself, especially with my single shot handi rifle. Once that cat released I wasn’t a jackrabbit it didn’t want anything to do with me but if he had gotten with in pouncing range it might not have run away so quickly. It was really ...

I have to agree, I feel the 204 is too small for large game. I suppose that if you only had one rifle and it was a 204 and you had to put food on the table. But I think that this isn't the case with most people who hunt with a 204. Not sure why anyone would take a chance on wounding any animal if it...

If you read my "hunt I'll never forget" you'll see I was face to face with one yesterday. Let me stay right now the very last thing on my mind was should I shoot this cat with my 204!!!! While we were looking at each other I could have shot him right in the neck with the 40gr berger I had ...
