Re: How much brass do you buy?

Availability really isn't a problem for me as I live 6 miles from Powder Valley so I can drive over and pick it up. I do like your idea though Joe O of using 50 for load development.

Re: Problems with Lee Seater Die!

When the bullet is shoved down too far you can tell the case mouth is distorted just a bit on some telling me the bullet is not centering up straight in the cavity of the stem. I am running 27.4grs of H4895 so its not a compressed charge. When this first happened I thought maybe I needed to run the ...

Problems with Lee Seater Die!

Purchased a collet die set for the 204 and got everything set up today. I am having a problem with my seater die. Die is screwed down to the shellplate plus another 1/8 turn. While seating bullets, about every third one it shoves the bullet way down in the case. I think what is happening is the tip ...

Re: How much brass do you buy?

Good info fellas! The only thing that makes me want to purchase 200 is I want all my brass of the same lot. Also, the uncertainty of future prices.

How much brass do you buy?

Going to start loading for my 204R and the only thing left for me to get is some brass. I am going with Winchester brass. Trying to figure out how many pieces to buy. I have always bought 200 pieces for all my other calibers but rarely do I use all 200 for the style of shooting I do. I mainly like t...

Re: Thumbler Tumbler?

Man I really like this tumbler. Its so quiet compared to my vibrating tumbler. Put a new belt on it today and tumbled up some 204 brass and worked great.

Thumbler Tumbler?

Anybody use one of these? I am a refuse worker by trade and found one in the trash today. It is the B model with the 1550rpm motor. Plugged it in and it works like a charm. I do need a new drive shaft for it though, the one with the plastic gear and its $11. Figured its worth that. Good Find?

Primer of Choice?

Do you think that primers play a big role in accuracy? I shot winchester primers for yrs and had always been able to get great accuracy out of my reloads. However, when I had a Mach IV built I had problems with the WSR primers cratering due to the thin cup and that is normal with the little 17. So, ...

What tool are you guys using? I have an old Lyman tool that works great on my bigger stuff but the shaft measures .215 and won't fit down into the mouth of the 204 and I haven't seen any listed from Midsouth etc.

Where do you guys buy your supplies?

I am lucky enough to live 10 min from Powder Valley so that is where I buy all my bullets, brass, powder, primers. When it comes to reloading equipment such as dies, presses, tools for case prep and such where do you shop?

Re: What bore guide for CZ 527????

Thanks JW. Yeh I didn't order any spare o-rings and I see they offer them. I'll see if I can pick some up at the hardware store. I priced the Lucas guides for my rifles. WOW! I shoot a 17MachIV, 204,222,22-250 and 243. For the inserts I would need and bore guides was $181.00 for all my rifles. No do...

What bore guide for CZ 527????

Hi guys, I have a stoney point bore guide that I have had for years and it works great on all my other rifles, 700, Savage etc but it won't fit my 527. Just curious as to what bore guide fits the 527 action the best.
