Re: RL17 with 40 grain bullets, anyone try?

I personally feel RL-17 is TOO slow burning for the 204. Had great results with reloader 15 and even better with RL-10X. Benchmark also an excellent option. My remington shoots 1 hole groups with benchmark and 39 grain sierra's.

Re: H322 OR H335 for .204?

They are both JUNK in my remington VSF in 204.

Re: Flash Hole Reaming tool?

I do, the one I got from sinclairs is BUNK! Appears the reamer is undersized ( I measured it ) and just going to send it back to them. I have all the other tools though, VLD chamfer tool, flash hole de-burring tool, good to go! By the way, we SMOKED a bunch of yotes last weekend! Closest was about 2...

Re: advice please

Don't panick about the cratered primers. Unless you have work done to that remington bolt it will show cratering on time, EVERY time! Flatenning is a much more important sign to watch for in that remy.

FYI, I seat out to 2.330" with polymer bullets and even longer with HP's of any sort.

Re: First Predator of the Year!

Usually I am way behind as I live in the "Big City" but this time I was the lucky one to drop the hammer first! One of the nicest foxes I have ever seen bar none!

Re: First Predator of the Year!

Thank you. This guy was a little sneaky but the old 204 kinda out sneaked him! I am very pleased with how this load works. Not the last word in accuracy but it is quick. On this guy is was squeze the trigger, very short delay, heard the pop of bullet impact and it was done. Normally my bro in law dr...

First Predator of the Year!

Re: Any advice for a newbie please

I would also suggest you try RL-10X as well. The 39 grain BK should have no issue in the 10 twist barrel. This powder has been MAGIC in my remington VSF! Benchmark also in my top 3 for this caliber. See my post elsewhere in this forum with a recent target of some benchmark load work.

Re: Flash Hole Reaming tool?

Thanks sidewinder. I wish to take my case prep to the next level, as the switch from normal to TOP SHELF dies has also helped the gun greatly. Was I correct about the diameter of the flash hole?

Flash Hole Reaming tool?

Hey guys, getting ready to place an order with sinclairs and this tools was on the list. Is the a required element? I realize that all flash holes will then be uniform and the same but is it worth the trouble? I think the standard dimension, expect for PPC and BR cases is .080"? ANy help would ...
