Custom Reloading Tools: Bushings

As many here know, Brad at CRT has been producing and selling die bushings of his own design for some time now. I recently received three of these to use when forming and reloading brass. I am most familiar with the bushings offered by Redding, specifically the Ti coated ones. I have always liked th...

Re: 270win powder and bullet combo

IMR4831 and Nosler Partition bullets. Might not be the most exciting combination but, it has worked since 1980 for me. Mule and white tail deer get the 130 grain bullet, 140's for elk.

Re: What bullets do you all like for coyotes

Fastfossil, in the interest of full disclosure, all of the 'issues' I had with the SBK's were with bullets from the same box of 100. May have been an issue with a particular batch. I sent them an email but did not hear back. Being the impatient guy that I am, I decided to punish Sierra by trying som...

Re: What bullets do you all like for coyotes

Fastfossil, I did try the SBK's first and was a believer, for a while. The third year using them, I started to get bigger entrance wounds and often, huge exit wounds. After getting two bona-fide splashes on shoulders, I said 'no-more'. I have no proof but, I suspect they thinned up the jackets. My n...

Re: Cooper 51 Montana Varminter

As Rick said, time to consider reloading. You may have several firearms that end up surprising you. The accuracy potential of that Cooper is most likely amazing!

Re: Recommend me a tumbler!

How ever you choose to clean your brass, I sure can't think of a single 'negative' associated with clean brass. I know several guys that are perfectly happy not tumbling anything, ever. Fine with me, I like my brass CLEAN. Like the way it looks, like the way it cycles, like the way it goes through t...

Re: Recommend me a tumbler!

I would suggest a rotary tumbler. Less noise than a vibratory unit and opens up the media choices to anything, including the stainless pins. My tumbler is an ancient Lortone rock tumbler and works great with walnut media and a splash of Rooster Brite Polish.

Re: Sako 85 Stainless Varmint

TEXAS JD, didjigitit, didjigitit???? I have two Coopers that I really like. I would, however, like to have something in a Sako someday.

New, LC 20 VT Brass

Hey, guys. This is the last of the Var Targ brass that I will have with the '13 headstamp. New, never-fired Lake City .223/5.56 parent brass. Primer pockets uniformed, flash holes de-burred, necks trimmed, inside/outside of case mouths chamfered, annealed, sized and tumbled. Ready to be fire formed ...

WTB: New LC .223/5.56 Brass

Need to buy some new, never fired Lake City .223/5.56 brass. My usual two sources have run out for now. If anyone has been sitting on some and wondering what to do with it let me know. Will pay the going rate. Thanks for looking.

Re: Winchester brass

Well Nosler has 204 blems on sale for $20 for 50. I ordered 200. That with the last order should keep me in 204 brass for awhile. Life is good. :stickman: :stickman: :stickman: :stickman: :binkybaby: At $40.00/100, that's a darn good deal, anymore! The blem bullets/brass from Nosler can be very fru...

The 35 grain Berger MHP. Why? Same reason as you. Just avoid the gut area. Be careful with that SBK, I switched after having shoulder splashes on two different coyotes. I don't save any hides but, I do want them DRT. Easier on my conscience.
