I would suggest a rotary tumbler. Less noise than a vibratory unit and opens up the media choices to anything, including the stainless pins. My tumbler is an ancient Lortone rock tumbler and works great with walnut media and a splash of Rooster Brite Polish.

The 35 grain Berger MHP. Why? Same reason as you. Just avoid the gut area. Be careful with that SBK, I switched after having shoulder splashes on two different coyotes. I don't save any hides but, I do want them DRT. Easier on my conscience.
