ND PD HUNT on 9-2-2017
Another nice day was in the forecast for last Saturday, September 2, 2017, so I headed down to the same dog town I had hunted in during the afternoon of August 18, 2017. There was a big area to the SE of where I took my last shots on the 18th that I needed to explore this day. My weapon of choice f...

Re: ND PD HUNT on 8-18-2017
corbin73-- I'm happy to hear you appreciate the posts I make about my PD hunting adventures. You will have a great time if you get out to do some prairie dog shooting. It is fun to pop those little buggers. I have never shot an armadillo, but I'll bet the .204 Ruger would be a lethal weapon on them.

Re: ND PD Shoot 8-10-2017
corbin73-- The albino PD body will be freeze dried. The taxidermist will keep it in his freezer until mid-winter, sometime in January or February, and send it in to be freeze dried then so he doesn't have to pay same day shipping charges. I don't expect the mount to be done until next summer. I wil...

ND PD HUNT on 8-18-2017
I asked my son if he wanted to go with me on prairie dog shoot on Friday, August 18. Once in a while my son has Friday off from work because he works 10 hour days, but this Friday he had to work. So, no fun for him!!! I like to use Weather Underground’s website for weather predictions, especially th...

ND PD Shoot 8-10-2017
Thursday morning dawned and the weatherman had predicted lower temperatures and winds of only 2 to 4 mph which is unheard of in North Dakota. The weatherman was right!!! It was almost calm from early morning until I finished shooting at around 10:45 a.m. I had six rifles that needed fouling shots t...

ND PD shoot 8-4-2017 with my son
The surgeon who did the surgery on my back was here in Williston on Wednesday, August 2 and said I’m healing well, but if your buddy drives his truck into the ditch, don’t help push him out. So I can do the physical things I have been doing and I need to stop an activity if it is hurting my back. T...

2nd ND PD Shoot of 2017
I got another late start today, July 7, 2017. Left the garage at 7:38 a.m. (exact same time I left on the July 1 PD shoot) and arrived at my parking spot for the first leg of the prairie dog shoot at 8:31 a.m. This time I had to avoid laying prone because that caused me lots of pain last July 1. I l...

Rick--Thanks for serving as a moderator. I appreciate you time and effort. I have to agree with you about spammers. The admins have to do something to prevent all the spammers. Like you mentioned, life is too short for the moderators to have to weed out these junk posts.

Back Surgery Patient on PD shoot 7-1-2017
I left the garage at 7:38 a.m. and at 8:21 I was headed north on the section line to see if I could get to the south gate on the PD town. Unfortunately, there was seeded crop growing on the trail I usually take to get to that gate, so, I headed back south to the gravel road than then drove east anot...

Re: Another ND PD Hunt on 9-28-2016
Slayer1962-- thanks for the trade offer, but I think I'll stay with my heavy old rifle!!!! I have spent way too much time and effort building the thing and working up loads so it wouldn't be too wise to trade it off. Besides, I wouldn't want to place such a "heavy" burden on anyone else :...
