Re: Fiocchi Brass
When I first got my .204 I bought 3-400 rounds of Fiocchi ammo. I was shooting sub-.5 moa with a Howa 1500. The 32 gr shot very hot. Some signs of overpressure. The 40 gr was better for me? I am still using the brass, it's good. 3rd or 4th reload. I am using neck sizing die only.

Re: 17 HMR Which one?
If I had a do-over I would probably go with a CZ, but my Savage (93R17 BVSS) works just fine for my needs and is my go-to rat killer. I saw a pretty bead blasted stainless Savage bull barrel that looked really nice at the store a few days ago.

Re: Which caliber?
I always switch to the rimfires for the babies. More cost effective and slightly more challenging. Ruger 22/45 w/red dot for Charlie in the wire.

12.0 gn of A1680 gets me near factory velocity and no signs of pressure. Shoots MOS - minute of squirrel, or better!

Ready to roll with new CZ
So I sold my Savage M25 17 Hornet to a buddy who is more of a predator hunter. I didn't like the design of the magazine/chamber and it felt a little clunky. I cant complain about the accuracy of it, though. I took the money and put it towards a CZ 527V. I'm so glad I did. It's my first CZ and I'm re...

Re: Friday fun with "Skippy"
No better way to spend a day! Take that deep breath of clean dry air, smell the tinge of burnt powder drifting in the wind, listen to the "crack-thud" of a well-placed shot, then wondering where the day went when it starts getting dark. It seems like you just started. But you definitely sl...

Re: Members Meet.....Skippy Flies
Just got all caught up on my reloads, and now it starts snowing... I will be up your way Mar 28-Apr 10 so save some for me. Would be great to meet up with you guys and share some laughs at Skippy's expense. Just picked up my rimfires from the gunsmith, barrels threaded for the suppressor. Brand new ...

Re: not sure where to start
I have a Howa 1500 in the Varmint contour with a B&C fiberglass stock. I shot Factory Fiocchi ammo 40 & 32 grain Vmax both shot well under 1/2" groups. My best handloads are with 8208xbr and 40 grainers. I would try the 32 grainers fist and see if they are any better. If you can't get b...
