My nephew bought a sps remington 700 in 308win. I donated a bell & carlson bench stock and a leupold scope. Plus I do all the hand loads for him. The rifle will group 1/2" or better with good loads. Got love a good 308 win.

Bow shot........I have always shot "stock" (poor-man's) rifles. Some are suprised with a little TLC how well some stock rifles realy shoot. I have a factory Ruger #1 in 300 win mag. That all I did was remove the forend to soften up the ejector spring allen screw. Nothing done to the trigge...

You got a love it! It was a 22 hrs drive from Pa to Chugwater ,Wy. I'd do it in a heart beat if some of group would get back together. Morning all. I can add to this subject.. My 1st custom 204 Ruger rifle I put together I gave to my brother for crow control. Out of his 1st 12 rounds shot, he has anchored 7 crows and one woodchuck. His lawn is open for 125 yards to the tree line. I get the the rifle back to clean and re-load for it...

Excellent long range caliber. Remington use to make their Sendero rifle in that caliber. Since the Remington ultra mag case has shown up that has taken center stage.
