Re: 1st shoot, NOT so flat trajectory ?!

Splash is when a bullet blows up on the surface of an animal and doesn't penetrate. Leaves a big red splotch and the animal usually gets away wounded. O right, thanks for that. I really cant see how the 39SBK would SPLASH on a animal and the 32's dont. Especially at 204 velocities. I would suspect ...

Re: 1st shoot, NOT so flat trajectory ?!

Would any of you tell me what you are loading and what the trajectory is like in your case? This is what my rifle is doing to the exact. 200 Yard zero, it is spot on at 100, yes spot on! at 300 it is 5.3 inch, 400 yards its 16.5 inch and 500 it is 36inch. When zeroed at 100 yards the figures are ba...

Re: 1st shoot, NOT so flat trajectory ?!

In my 700 Rem. VLS the 32 gr. Varmageddon is the most accurate bullet. I've shot three shot groups as small as .169 with it. The 39 gr. shot around 3/4' +/-. I had a 39 gr. sierra splash on a badger at about 200 yds. and a friend had one splash on a coyote so we pretty much just use them for ground...

Re: 204 Ruger and 338 Lapua – The Sublime to the Ridiculous

One good thing about aging, a guy just does not feel like he has to "prove" much! Well said. I did my proving in the ring, and if the young bucks make fun on my little 204 compared to their cannons I remind them of that. That usually shuts them up pretty quick. Ha ha, I know that feeling....

Re: 1st shoot, NOT so flat trajectory ?!

Gidday Went out with my TikkaT3 and couple of boxes of factory Winchester 32grain ammo. I zeroed at 100yds. At 200yds bullet drop is 3,5" and at 250yds drop is a whooping 9,8". Thats not flat to me! I have not had a chance to use a chrono but Im wondering what you guys are seeing? Guess I...

Re: 1st shoot, NOT so flat trajectory ?!

My rifle shoots the opposite and I dont know why, I have zeroed at 100 yards and its still bob on at 200 yards! And only 5 inch low at 300 ! Never have been able to understand it, especially since I have a relitivley low muzzel velocity of 3707 ftps!

Re: .204 Ruger shooting a 450 yard gong.

Great shooting! Very impressive. Good job of reading the mirage, too. My wife just made her longest shot, so far. 250 yd hit on a crow. She's not satisfied, though. After seeing your vid, she wants to try 500 yds! ;) :D Thanks for the comments guys, Tell your wife to keep at it and keep an eye out ...

.204 Ruger shooting a 450 yard gong.

Hi guys, Here is a quick video I took yesterday, while out for a playing the glorious sunshine, and being a .204/.20cal dedicated forum, I thought I would share it with you guys! ;) Before I start, this was taken on my land, the building is derelict and empty, so it was safe. Here is the video of me...

Re: 39SBK vs 32Vmax FPS results

My .204 = 25.4 grains of R10 and 39SBK's gives a average of 3707 fps.

Re: best bullet gr for groundhogs

Hi guys,

I would say they would be very dead with both 32+40 grain vmax, I would think you may get more just a little more splat factor with the faster 32's.

Open to further input and comment though.

Re: Suppressed rabbit shooting! New Zealand

Good going fella, quite a few rabbits there. Not sure about the shot/rabbit at 56 seconds though...these bullets can travel 3-4 mile if no back stop is present.
