Great results for me with Alliant RL10X and Federal 205M primers, WW brass with 39SBK's and 40 Grain v-Max. .2's are the norm. Thats with a 1/11 twist barrel.

Re: WIND DRIFT
At 400 yards with a full value 90degree wind at 10 mph the drift would be more like 18 inches. That explains your misses.

Re: I can't reload ammo this good . . .
I wouldn't be happy even with that mate, with a tikka .204 and home loads I would expect far far better groups then that. Like you said you shot 2x 2 hole groups, even as close as 100 yards there is a big level of inconsistency within the factory loads, the further out you go the worse it will get. ...

Re: 40 grain bullet bc.
The manufactures velocitys are not accurate anyway, to some degree. I use the 39SBK and when checking multiple velocities at different ranges 200,300 and 500 yards the 39 SBK have a usable and accurate BC of .251 when shooting through multiple velocity boundarys with my rifle. I would assume that th...

Neck size then full length.
Hi guys,
Is it neseccery to full length size your brass after like 3-4 loads, to prevent a tight bolt.
I though I read something like that one day but can't remember !

Forgot to mention,
A 1/11 twist will be perfect for the bullets you have chosen Bill, a standard 1/12 MAY not stabilise some 40's?

Re: Which twist is better ?
Hi Bill, I have a PAC -NOR 1/11 twist on my .204 and It is awesome with the 40 grain V-Max or the 39 Blitz kings. It also shoots the 32's superbly as well. The only reason I want to shoot the heavier 40's and 39's is that they have a higher BC and perform better in the wind at longer range. Steve.

Re: Vapor trial
Hi mate, I have noticed the vapour trail from my bullrts on video quite a few times recently. However last night I saw the vapour trail through the scope while shooting targets. Conditions were, Shooting small balloons at 400 yards with the sun going down in front of me in very windy conditions. Tem...

Yes mate, I use a wind meter to put me as close as poss, they are a must for the longer range shooting and when it windy,

How many reloads!
I know this has probaly been covered before and I know there are many variables, powder, charge, etc etc
How many reloads are you guys getting for your .204's, I am neck sizing mine and I'm not running mine overly hot?
Just curious guys,
Steve.
