I like my 12FV in 223 so much, that I bought a 12FV in 204!

Yes, they are that good.

For the price, quality, and accuracy, cannot be beat.

Don't be afraid to purchase a Savage without the accutrigger - only costs $30 to install a new trigger that flat out rocks!

Longest confirmed kill on a prairie dog for my 17 Rem is 485 yards....twice. Two "cousins" were living at the same address!

Would not hesitate to shoot a coyote, WITH proper shot placement and bullet at that range.

24 will do fine for spotting them. I look for the long shots at 20 power, but shoot with my scope on 12X. Why? I have a mildot scope and I know how much holdover (or under) I need to be at according to the scope at 12X. May I suggest a 6-24x56 30 mm tube from http://www.nikkostirling.com, distribute...

Smell them. Should be a strong alcohol type smell (close...not exact).

Powder should not have a rust color to it.

Go to IMR's website - they have info there.

Hutch - same here with my Nikko Stirling - on 12 power, seeing the 17, 204, 223, & 243 at 100 yards is no problem.

May I recommend a scope? http://www.nikkostirling.com Distributed by http://www.legacysports.com I purchased a 6-24x56 30 mm mildot and a set of rings. Very happy with the purchase. Fully multicoated, side parallax adjustment (I did not opt for the huge side wheel), and easy to focus eyepiece. The r...

I am very satisfied with the 6-24x56 with the 30 mm tube. Also purchased a set of scope mounts from them as well.
