20 caliber bergers

Starting to thin out my Berger bullets that I will never get to. I have 2 ea 1000 packs ( Berger PN-20703, lot 6125) that I would like to fund a new purchase with. It feels like I can get both in a medium flat rate if I open the cellophane and fold the boxes. I would like $525 shipped for both, new ...

Re: Little disappointed...

Got a 700 sps, 24" snout, shoots great with the hornady 32's. The hornady 40's shoot about 4".. Anyhow chrono'd the 32's, advertised 4225 fps, mine averaged 3650!! This common with factory fodder in the 204? Later Yep, some 204's won't do well with the 40 grain bullets. I would be suspici...

Re: Found an old Colt treasure

Beautiful guns, both the Military version and the engraved. I forgot about this older posting, I have a 1903 380 ACP I received from a co-worker many years ago, and with it came a Colt brochure from the year the gun was purchased in SFO by his Uncle. It has the wood grips and has a few area's of thin...

Re: Who Said the .22 Hornet Wasn't Accurate?

I have a left handed A-bolt that will arrive at my FFL Friday. My left handed grandson shoots my PCP air rifle well left handed, so he needs to step up to a centerfire to "hang" with grandpa in the squirrel fields. lol

And they wouldn't return my 17 Rem barrel when I switched to a 20 VT 8 months ago.

Re: Wilson barrel quality?

I believe Wilson owns part of Cooper . The quality/accuracy is on par with any of the majors for recreational uses , my 204 is on its 3rd bbl ,6000 rnds for 1st one, 5200 one the 2nd ,basically new (less than 500) on the 3rd. My 20vt is approaching 5000 and still shoots lights out. Sorry no picture...

Re: Damaged Crown

Interesting on the tang. I assume these are 3 screw guns and the center/ front hold it well enough? How is Victor for snow? I am now retired and it's been 2+ years since I had the pleasure to visit Rochester and Victor on my way to the Antique store. Hope all is well, I have seen a lot of foul weath...

Re: 20VT and Fireball Fun in the Rat Patch

Cool.

I believe that would be the ruger #3 with a Canjar single set trigger?
My Sako 20vt has one, sure makes the Sako almost as good as the cooper...lol.

Yea, we may need to help some ranchers mow alfalfa...

Re: Ready to roll with new CZ

Looks good.

My 2 are shooting factory rolled 20 V-max's not quite as good as yours.

What load have you been happy with? I need to reload some soon and would love to get mine shooting close to that good.

Thanks

Re: 20VT and Fireball Fun in the Rat Patch

Dag nab it Rick, another post to get my trigger finger itching, lol. Mike and I went up late last year and shot that field, but halfway south to where you cross the waterway. We shot the heck out of them. It amazed us how alive that field was even after all the shooting the year before. It was Possib...

Re: Members Meet.....Skippy Flies

Yes, I recommend retirement to anyone who asks, lol I still need to get a new batch of 20vt ammo verified on paper before turning all of the empties into 'SKIPPY KILLERS" and agree, that day will come soon. I have no excuse to not break bread this year, I think I will be by myself and you can ta...

Re: Members Meet.....Skippy Flies

That sounds pretty fast shooting Dan. I know when I was on the little ones last year with the 17hmr I was probably about one every 20 seconds, until I needed to reload. Most all of my Skippy rifles are now 18 grain or less powder burners, and heavy barrels to take longer to heat up, but they do take...

Re: Members Meet.....Skippy Flies

I figured you had backup(s). Now I see the big bumper on your truck, I must have been focused on the left thumbhole stocks at first glance, now I see your PU in the background. I may sneak up north to the places we discussed a few weeks before my main shooting. I'll have my new 17hh, 17fb, 20VT sako...

Re: Members Meet.....Skippy Flies

Good report Rick.

Never heard of going to shoot Skippy with only one gun, lol. I suspect you had a pistol for the charging Skippy's.
