Re: POSTAL SHOOT DETAILS - BEGINNING STAGES - **IDEAS WELCOME**

Just curious... since my only .204 is a Cooper, are they considered production for the Postal Shoot? Yes, we'll call Coopers factory. RIO said something about donating one for each winner of classes 1-3. Sign up for those! Kidding! Bring on the Coopers.

So you think a 20x max scope setting at 100?

I guess the LRPV would be fine with me at 100 too, at a 2x scope setting. :lmao:

Re: POSTAL SHOOT DETAILS - BEGINNING STAGES - **IDEAS WELCOME**

Personally, I like the target with the multiple potentials rather than one bulls eye....While any wind can play havoc with individual scores, it would certainly be easier to score and count the shots..... Those "100" counts do look awfully small though.. Yeah I'm thinking the polka-...

Re: New to the Ladder test. I'm a believer

I haven't done any load development this year yet, but last fall I tried a ladder for the first time . Seems to be pretty productive. Should be able to find a sweet spot firing way fewer rounds than I was. I used to load 5 or 10 rounds each .2 grains apart. Maybe 60 rounds for one power/bullet combi...

Re: POSTAL SHOOT DETAILS - BEGINNING STAGES - **IDEAS WELCOME**

Tried making a target for the scored classes. Would like some feedback on what you guys might prefer and why. Keep in mind these will be printed on 8 1/2x11 paper. I like the term "204um Challenge" better than "Postal Shoot", which sounds like the mailman shooting up his place of...

Re: POSTAL SHOOT DETAILS - BEGINNING STAGES - **IDEAS WELCOME**

I'll enter 2 rifles.

Savage bolt action in these classes: 6-10, 5

AR-15 in these classes: 1-5, 11-15

That's 16 classes. $48 in entry fees.

New class variations, and AR-15 classes added.

These classes were created trying to provide somethign for everyone. It seems that as long as the classes with the most entrants take priority in prize distribution, there's no reason any class with 3 or more entrants couldn't be held. This will also depend on the number of prizes available when the...

Re: POSTAL SHOOT DETAILS - BEGINNING STAGES - **IDEAS WELCOME**

I guess scaling down the 200 and 300 yard targets for 100 wouldn't work? That's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure if that would be a hassle for ya! Either way...at least there is 1 class for most of us to shoot! :) Thanks for your time in organizing this Baba and I hope all works out well! :wtg...

Re: POSTAL SHOOT DETAILS - BEGINNING STAGES - **IDEAS WELCOME**

OK. Yeah I can imagine 100 yards being a limitation for many. Obviously it would be best to get the most possible entered in each class. My local range is only 100 yards, but this year I've been using a 2'x4' piece of plywood held up by 1x1's to use as a target stand. I set it up on a friend's field...

POSTAL SHOOT DETAILS - BEGINNING STAGES - **IDEAS WELCOME**

We now have 66 entries in the various classes. See post below for details. I hope to have everyone signed up by June 7th, so please let me know soon if you will be entering! Thanks! There's been talk of a postal shoot, and as we only get about 5 months where we might see calm, dry, warm, comfortabl...

Re: Manual decapping rod for .204?

How about this? Order the replacement rod for the Universal Decapping Die (Part #DD2545, fits the 20 caliber case mouth, $2), and use it with the base you get with the .223 manual decapper kit (Part #90103, $3). http://www.factorysales.com/html/xcart/images/P/p-2545.jpg http://www.leeprecision.com/g...
