Re: FLIERS ????
I have never had a problem with carbon fouling buildup. I only use wipeout patch out in my barrels, i clean them after each day of shooting and have not found carbon buildup in the barrel yet. I just recently acquired a bore scope and looked down my barrels for the first time ever, clean as a whistl...

Re: F/S 20 Cal. Berger 50 Gr. Bullets
the bullets arrived today, thank you for the super fast shipping. I plan to use the 50 grain bullets in my new 20 Nitro. I have already pushed the 39 sierra blitzking bullets at over 4,300 fps so i figured i would go to a heavier bullet and give it a try.

Re: Redding Dies
to give you more flexibility down the road i would recommend a set of bushing dies. This will allow you to change neck tension if you switch from one brand of brass to another as well as extend the brass life by not overworking it. If you want the best die set available on the market check out my fr...

Re: CZ 527 Barrel swap
X-Caliber barrels also makes a 20 caliber 3 groove 11 twist barrel now. The price is excellent at around $200 or so and their turnaround time is typically 6 weeks or less. Give them a call if you get a second, they are super nice people and they will treat you good. www.x-caliber.net

Re: *** 2015 Ruger 204um Five Shot Challenge ***
any specific reason that we are limited to a 204 Ruger only? Seems like it would make sense to open it up to any 20 caliber cartridge especially for the Modified Production Class or Custom Class.

Re: 204 Accuracy Potential
There are plenty of accurate off the shelf type rifles chambered in 204 Ruger. I believe its also possible to build an AR or custom bolt gun that will equal or in some cases exceed the accuracy level of a factory rifle like the CZ Varmint or a handful of others. The question you have to ask yourself...

Re: Deep Throat Savage 12
as Bill mentioned the 204 ruger factory chamberings do typically have very long throats. Go with what shoots best for you and use it as a single shot if need be. If you want to improve things you could get a custom reamer made with zero freebore and send the barrel off to be setback and rechambered....

Re: cutting back my 26inch barrel
i agree with Rick that 24" is plenty of barrel length for a 204, you will still get optimal velocity.

Re: On barrel life, round count, and bullet stabilization
due to the fact that you are seeing problems mainly at longer distances it makes me think that you may be loosing stability shortly after the 450-500 yard mark. It has been well documented that a factory 12 twist barrel at best will only marginally stabilize a 39-40 grain bullet, now consider what h...
