Re: Doubled with my new 6MM AI

Ok here's a little more info on the gun but as mentioned I'll give a full report in the near future. 1:13 twist 27" kreiger barrel attached to a RBLP model B BAT action. Night force 8-32X56 scope with NPR 2 reticle. I'm shooting 75 grain vmax and the 80 Berger with great accuracy. Rowdyyates---...

Re: Minimum Twist for 55gr Berger Bullets??

You need a 1:9 twist for that bullet. Call Todd Kindler at the Woodchuck Den. He is very experienced with that bullet and is still doing more testing with it. His test gun has a 1:9 twist for that bullet. Todd was very instrumental in getting Berger to make that bullet. Todd is shooting it out of a ...

Todd Kindler and the Woodchuck Den

So yesterday I was in the area of Todd's shop and I thought I just had to stop by and check his shop out. For those of you who dont know Todd is responsible for many of the current 20 cal offerings and has been on the forefront of pushing manufacturers of firearms and bullets to make stuff for the 2...

Re: 20VT Rock Chuck Outing

Awesome RIO! I'm jealous. I was shooting paper this morning since the wind was only around 4mph and its beautiful out. I'm gearing up for the groundhogs soon as the soybeans are up.

Re: Groundhog crawl aways with .204..

In my opinion 32s are a little light if you have a marginal hit on an adult hog. You could also try a slightly tougher bullet like a Berger or CRTs 37 or 40 trainers. These are custom bullets and have had great reviews.

Re: Longest 204 chuck kill?

I dont doubt anyone who is an experienced shooter who says they can kill a groundhog around 500 yards with a 204. I haven't myself but I have shot enough paper at 500 with the 204 to know that it can be done quite easily if the conditions are right. No wind....etc....Guys like RIO and some of the ot...

Re: Why aren't my woodchucks exploding?

A 204 wont explode an adult groundhog. If u hit it perfectly you may be able to get some gore, but it's too big and tough to get a big exit most of the time. I've shot them with a 243 and a 75 gr vmax and have already not gotten an exit. The243 will usually Blow a big hole and sometimes cut them in ...
