Re: Tell us about yourself...

Welcome to the forum! I haven't been on here very long but has grown to be one of my favorites. Lots of good info! Hope you find it as informative as I do! Happy shooting.

Re: .204 Ruger 315 yard clays.

Cool. I have been wanting to get one just haven't yet cause I surely don't have the skills to judge the wind correctly.

Re: .204 Ruger 315 yard clays.

Do you judge wind speed yourself or have a wind meter? Haven't been able to watch the video yet since I'm on my phone and have terrible signal.

Re: Tell us about yourself...

It is a 1.75x6 power VX-3. It's a little under powered but it's doing the trick for now. Once more funds roll my way I will probably upgrade.

Re: Target turret setting?

Try this, plug your data in and down near the bottom you should be able to change from yards to meters.

Beautiful Sight!

http://i1240.photobucket.com/albums/gg489/boisblancboy/bullets.jpg Well proud to say those brand new remington .204 cases are a beautiful sight because they were the last batch to get fully prepped, primer pocket uniformed, neck turned, full length sized, trimmed, debured, chamfered and tumbled! No...

Re: Crow sniping

I've used a call shot gunning them. When I'm sniping them I just hunt over a carcass or what have you.

Re: Crow sniping

They are smart there is no doubt about it! Well now that I have my .204 and I have her shooting well I am going to try like heck to see if I can bring some of their numbers down but that's if I can hit the darn things. Either way it will be fun trying.

Re: Crow sniping

I just read an article, in short, more crows killed helps the waterfowl population increase. I found that interesting since I'm an avid waterfowler. But I'll take just about any excuse to get out and hunt/shoot.

Re: Groundhog crawl aways with .204..

I agree first and foremost shot placement but let's face it, no matter how good you are you will end up with a marginal shot. With that said I always believed in shooting the heaviest bullet I could that gave me the ballistics I was looking for. Your chances of recovery are greater with a heavier bu...

Re: Lateral stringing of groups

I agree with Bill, that's pretty much what I did when searching for a load with my 35 bergers. Started at the bottom and working up .2 at a time with 3 shot groups. You should discover an accuracy node or two. From those nodes load above and below(as long as your not at max load) .1. This should giv...

Re: Look What I Got

Nice piece! Before I got my remmy I also picked up a ruger #1 that had a grey laminated stock, beautiful gun, but I couldnt get myself past that tang off the back of the trigger guard. Just did care for that. I cant believe how much fun the .204 is to shoot. Make sure to report back on how she shoots.
