Re: 2012 archery harvest
That thing is amazing! Great looking mount. You must have been pretty excited! Thanks, Trent. I was more in awe at the time of the hunt because everything came together absolutely perfectly (and that never happens). I saw the deer cross the neck of a field about 100 yards ahead of me and then heard...

Re: another cooper question ?
Any idea why, Rick? That's an odd distance for a purpose-built range, so I suspect it resulted from an adaptation of an existing space?Rick in Oregon wrote:The target is shot indoors at 43 yards.

Thanks for covering the bases, Rick. You are, of course, correct on all fronts.

You will not be disappointed in the VHR, Bill. I have used quite a few different reticles in prairie dog fields and the Leupold Varmint Hunter reticle reigns supreme.

Re: Kimber varmint 204 as good as a cooper?
I would expect kimbers are in plentiful supplie in the states or is there A waiting period for you guys as well. There are usually enough sources here in the states to track down whatever production rifle you want in short order, unless it's something very unusual. Of course, supply and demand alwa...

Re: Kimber varmint 204 as good as a cooper?
I've seen the Kimbers, do they genrally shoot as good as a cooper or should I save a few bucks and keep trying to decide between a cz, howa,or savage? In my opinion, the choice between a Kimber and the other three would be based far more on aesthetics than accuracy potential. All four are proven to...

A Cooper M38 in 20VT with a Leupold VX3 6.5-20 & Varmint hunter reticle?
That's akin to flashing the bat signal over Gotham to RIO. He's probably compiling a post with photos as I type this.

Re: Scope for heavy recoil
I don't have any experience with Monarch scopes, but you may want to do a bit of reading before jumping on one. Several forum members have voiced complaints about those Nikons.brokeasajoke wrote:found a monarch 8-32 for $500 may check it out

Leupold VX-L 4.5-14x50
I have a Leupold VX-L 4.5-14x50 with the B&C reticle. The scope has two ring marks on one end, but is otherwise in excellent condition. It includes the factory scope cover, but no box or paperwork. The exact same scope is selling on eBay with the auction ending today. Given my lack of box and ri...

Re: Scope for heavy recoil
US Optics would be another option.
How much do you want to spend on a scope? That's usually the best starting point.

Price check, please
I'm trying to gauge the value of a Leupold VX-L 4.5-14x50 with B&C reticle. I've browsed around on the web to find recent transactions, but seem to come up empty. Thoughts?
