Re: New rifle or build…which caliber?
20 P is fun and easy to do. Making the brass is a bit time consuming but during the summer heat, sitting in the gun room making 20P brass in the AC is a no brainer. Brass is pretty cheap compared to other calibers as well. 1x LC, or whatever flavor you prefer is easy to get and plentiful for the mos...

Re: The Artic Rat Shoot
The daylight hours seemed different this year, but you were still with your group of guys for happy hours, so not all was lost. Thanks for posting the pictures. I'm looking forward to my trip in a couple weeks, not the drive so much, but you have to pay to play.

Re: Getting out the 204's for 2022
I've got a shoot planned for early May in the Burns area, have all the rifles sighted in, preferred ammo loaded/boxed up and starting to pile up in the corner of the DR. Wife not happy about me messing up the DR (again). Some of the ammo is leftover from my '18 trip out to SD for pdogs, so I only ha...

@ RIO;
Do you suggest/recommend a portable shade popup like is shown in your picture?? Are they necessary, needed, a personal choice/preference?? Weights recommended/needed to hold it in place??

Re: 32 gr. Nosler Varmageddon
I've used Pro Varmint to develop 3 loads for my 204, got good accuracy, speeds were in the 3800-3900 fps zone for the 32vmax, and the 34g dogtown's, the 39g sbk's were in the 3500 fps zone.

Thanks for the pics RIO.
I've got my first "rat" trip planned out there this year. I'm hoping (praying) all this C19 crap clears up, or goes down, etc., so I have a window of travel to take this off my bucket list.

Re: Anyone use the Nosler 34 Grain HP bullet?
I've been loading the 34g DT FBHP's in my 20P, sub moa out to 200 yds, I've shot at 300 yds, but it was at a fallen tree laying on the hillside. Just so happen it was right at 300yd, and was accurate at this distance. Could not get to the fallen tree to inspect the impact zone, but "it will kil...

Don't overlook Athlon scopes. I've got several and have no compliants about them. I've got a Talos 6-24 x50 on several rifles, and they all perform fine. I've got crappy eyesight, so I need the magnification. LOL

Re: Bore Scope for a .204 Caliber Barrel
I've seen a Teslong borescope advertisement that that says they're supposed to fit .20 caliber & larger. Even comes with a little screen for around $100. I have NOT see it in person nor tried one. But, if it works that would be great for us. I read that and ordered one. I does not fit... Buyer ...

Gettin' old ain't for wimps. :lol: We've both had our shots as well, but this new "variant" seems to ignore the vaccine in some people/cases. Wife's nephew got the shots when he could, but got to feeling bad, got tested and was positive, then got the "infusion" treatment. A coupl...

Re: Slow Around here
Just getting over Covid myself. At 70yrs old I didn't think it was that terrible. Ivermectin a Zpack and I was ready to go. Staying hydrated is very important. This sciatic nerve in the lower back, now that has been a game changer for me. I've noticed that many, if not all of the gun/hunting forums...
