z max are flat base while v max have a slight boat tail.

in pure white snow fire at a target 100 yards away. then examine the snow for unburnt powder. if you do not have snow get a clean sheet of plastic. put rocks or bricks on it to hold it down. prone fire at a target 100 yards away . make sure you are back 3 to 6 feet from the plastic. it will be harde...

fwiw i have the rcbs electronic scale. still works very good and is accurate. started with the rcbs 10 10 and it is also a very good scale. good luck.

with paper i always got nice round holes with the vg. then again i was using 10x . i had a wood backing but it was thin. 250 yards till mach 1 wow i was way off. i know the less they weigh the quicker they loose velo. congradulations on the appoval for the new toy. i would play with the trailboss lo...

the only thing i can think of is that you have a light weight bullet and it is going transsonic at maybe 35 yards ? have you tried a heavier bullet like 39 sbk with tb? keyholes when it goes transsonic ?

i think it is called yaw. i forget the technical term. what you are dealing with is torque of the heavier projectile. the torque causes drift. also a lighter weight bullet guessing 10 grains should go 9 inchs or so to the right. edit this should also be noticable in different twis barrels. changing ...
