Chicken Thief?
Last week the flock of chickens I had was massacred. I had 34 chickens. They were purchased as egg layers. Several chickens a night went missing. It happened some time after 2am and before 5am. I think it was several varmints. What ever it was could lift an over weight 15 to 20 pound white chicken ou...

Re: brass price difference?
You would be lucky to find it for $10.99 now. I have what I need for this years fun. I was trying to avoid being put on back order. The shelves were empty.

Re: brass price difference?
I am glad I have a 204. It was for a bag of 50. That comes out to one dollar a case. I would think the same case would cost the same. It is only a change in the machinery to produce the different caliber on the same case.
thank you for the fair price info.

brass price difference?
I was in the local shop looking for 204 brass. The container on the left had 17Fireball and Remington17 brass. There was only one package of 17 Fireball brass. None in the container of 204 brass. To the container on the right 221 Fireball with one package. Nothing in the rest of the brass containers...

Re: Which 20 cal.
I read a lot. It was way back when I first started looking at the 204 I recall a few threads talking about chambering a rifle for the 204wssm. As Rick in Oregon said it is grossly overbore. As I recall they did not think the bullets would hold together. They were talking about having a reamer made. ...

Do you use a different load for different distances?
Some benchrest shooters use a different load for different distances. Do you use a different load for different distances? I am comfortable with anything under 440 yards. I use only one load for all distances with the 32 grain bullets be it sbk or vmax loaded down. Did a lot of reading before the ri...

Re: Which 20 cal.
How about a “204 ufo A 204 on a 223 wssm case. There was some talk of building something like that on here a while ago. Or 204wssm ? Just thought I would throw that in.

Re: case scratching
Yes some very good info. I did not even consider that it could be the underside of the lip scratching the case. I am sure that it is the bolt head scratching the case because one of the scratches is the full length of the case. I will have to check it again more carefully.

Re: case scratching
Thank you for the reply. Yes the cases do feed correctly and smoothly. Even the reloads feed good. I knew the bolt had to be able to get the next round and feed. I was thinking that maybe the spring in the floor panel was to strong. If this is normal then that is good news. It is a great sweet shoot...

case scratching
Hello all. I have a Remington 700 sps with a plate and spring above the floor plate. I typically load one in at a time as a single shot not using the clip part. There is no detachable clip. A few days ago I was laying prone and decided to practice cycling the rounds. I pushed two cartridges down and...
