Re: Trip north to shoot varmints

The guy in the back of the white chevy pickup had what I thought was a creative shooting bench he was from Seattle Washington. I saw him along the road shooting and stopped to take a picture of his bench. I have seen several creative styles of benches over the years.

Re: UPDATE: .243 WSSM on squirrels. Warning explicit photos.

The 243 is a great caliber. I do like ending a grey diggers life. Here in the southern part of the state if you can get out after the January rains when the grass is green and short. The shooting is good. They do explode with all that green grass in them. I did atomize one with my 243 with a 30yrd s...

Re: Great Rockchuck Shoot!

I am going to have to buy a fishing scale this time I had one in my hand a year ago and didn't do it. I have seen and killed some big ones but have yet to weigh any and am not a good judge of weight. I seen a few Grand dadies posted on the forum here.

Re: Great Rockchuck Shoot!

Great shooting I am sick about selling my 243 now. I am on my way up in a couple of weeks I will have to try for some long range chucks I have worked out the kinks in my 204 hopefully the wind will have calmed down. I have yet to make a 500 yard shot with my 204. One of my shooting buddies has bagge...

Re: Squirrel Shoot

I have toyed with the idea for hunting coyote in the desert where the creosote bush blocks your view some elevation would be nice but have yet to do anything. A stiff foundation like a Ford F250 would help. The price of gas keeps me from going to the desert very often. There are lots of coyote close...

I'll say that is one good looking coyote. Looks like it just came back from the dog show. Nice one.

Re: Down home Squirrel shoot.

I know the the rifle isn't a 204 but the noise of the 204 draws to much attension. So I resorted to a savage 93 in 17hmr which also is easer on the ears and lighter weight. This rifle has a plastic stock but works realy well the scope is one of the Center Point 4x16 power sold at wall Mart for $69 d...

Re: Down home Squirrel shoot.

While walking the hills through the boulders you run into multiple snake sheds in one area you know you have to step lightly. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q264/rsalbright/May%2022%202010%20squirrel%20hunt/020.jpg http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q264/rsalbright/May%2022%202010%20squirrel%20h...

Re: Down home Squirrel shoot.

His hide is in the freezer right now the birds are feasting on the rest. I don't like wearing the chaps but they are stiff but to go into the weeds with out them is too much of a risk. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q264/rsalbright/May%2022%202010%20squirrel%20hunt/044.jpg http://i138.photobucke...
