That TC looks very nice and should be shooting well.
However with what the original poster asked about his, after the years gone by, I wonder if Surfcitydude found his twist was wrong for the 40 gn bullet and corrected his problem ?

Re: bench rests
You might take a look at the MGM cradle style. They don't work like the Lead sleds, as your shoulder is still the contact point with the rifle butt.
They can also be used with a handgun, when shooting either off a bench. And they are priced very decent.

Re: 20 BR anyone
For those that worry about burning out a barrel. So what. Is that not just another part of our shooting and reloading sport ? If you worry about burning out a barrel then maybe you should find another hobby.

K22, no issue too me anyway on the 17 Rem. I and others have, had or dealed with one, along with the 20 cal. Nice photo of your rifle and the kitty. Thanks for sharing. The 7.5 primer is my #1 choice also.

Re: Leupold VX recticle change
May be that they are back logged with doing work and are just not taking new one's for a while. That is a good thing as it shows they are still operating and doing custom work. TIme will tell.

Re: My New rifle and new member
Never thought of CFE BLK in the 204R RIck. I have fine results with CFE 223, may have to try BLK. I know it works well in some of my small cases.

Re: Favorite Loads
I have good success with CFE 223 in my 204's. But others enjoy 10X and Xterminator for a couple other powders. Start with start loads on Hornady's load data site.

Re: My New rifle and new member
Pretty decent set up you have there and looks like a nice private range. Nosler brass is pretty darn good and you can get some decent prices on it at Nosler's site (Shooters Pro Shop).

Re: New Sierra Prairie Enemy 36 grainers
I also have been using the Nosler and Hornady lead free bullets, due to my state banning lead on game of any kind of critter or fowl. But it is working well for me anyway, so it matters not. By the way, if any of you take the Handloader magazine, the April 24 issue has a nice article regarding Nowle...
