Problem with reloads
I was shooting Sage Rats in OR last week. I was using 39 SBK's 25.1 RL-10x Hornady, Nosler , Winchester Cases Rem 7.5 Primers Every so often, I would fire a shot or two, and they would hit about 50-75 yards in front of me. Then I could shoot for a while, and I would get a crazy flyer all of a sudden...

Re: Sage Rats
Hey, I made it back :D My dad and I had a good time. He didn't do any shooting, just a lot of spotting I shot about 200 Ground Squirrels in 2 Days of shooting :D I can't believe how cannabilistic they are. As fast as I could pile em' up, the little bastards were out chowing down on their friends

Re: JB Bore Paste
I use KG12 for copper removal.
Buy the way, about how many rounds do you all shoot before copper becomes an issue. I think I'm over cleaning

Trigger Pull Weight
What is the lightest pull weight you have ever used? How did you like it? I would like to feel some triggers in the 6 to 10 oz range to see what it feels like. I feel that my trigger now is still too heavy for my taste. It's about 2# I'm really looking forward to the new Cooper Triggers this Christmas

Re: 204 Maximum Effective Range
My experience mirrors what Mike said above. Environmental conditons will dictate the 204's maximum effective range....usually right about the 500 yard mark as previously stated. If you plan to shoot greater distances, there's much better cartridges available. The 204 Ruger is excellent for what it ...

Velocity
I just got back from the range today, where I was Chronographing my loads. I shot 30 rds and this is what I came up with. 25.1 RL-10x 39 SBK Rem 7 1/2 Hornady Case Ogive: 1.860 COAL: 2.335 My average Velocity was 3931 FPS  That is 200 FPS more than the Sierra load manual states for this load.
