After getting some positive input about perhaps taking my Savage 6BR to the PD fields, I loaded up some 70gr Nosler BTs last night, using IMR8208 at 100 yards. This was my best group, with velocity of 3400fps..... I think the 6BR is going North this summer! http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/bb419/...

I've used a lot of RL10X with 39gr SBKs with good results.....usually at 25.5gr.... This morning I happened to be looking at Alliant's website, and noticed that they're recommending their "Varmint" powder for the .204 with 39's....? I may have missed a discussion along the way, and my sear...

InKYfromSD: a number of rifle/cartridges use the .243 bullet.....I'm referring to my rifle in 6mm BR caliber....

IF I was going to take my 6BR, what size bullets should I think about? I normally am shooting 105gr Bergers for 600 yards....

How Many Rifles???

I know it's a personal decision, and there's no "right" number.....but how many rifles do you usually take small critter shooting with you? A friend and I are going to South Dakota in June for three days of shooting PDs, and I'm wrestling with what to take..... Problems, problems, problems...

I don't know that you can buy one for less than $400, but based on my experience you can't beat a CZ for quality and value.....
