bpratl,
That looks very cool. Gives me a better view of how it works than Hornadys' catalog pictures.
Thank You

Hornady Concentricity Gauge
On the subject of concentricity (I think this should be a separate thread): has anyone tried the Hornady Lock-N-Load Concentricity Gauge? Not only measures runout but, corrects it to zero. Seems like a good way to go if it really works. Sinclair item # 050076.

Re: REDDING DIES
Thanks for all the input here guys. My plan: purchase Redding Type "S" Match Full Length Die Set. It includes bushing F/L sizing die and a competition series bullet seater. After the wallet heals, I will add some type of neck-only die or collet. If I'am jumping off the wrong cliff here, pl...

Re: REDDING DIES
Very interesting, seems the more I learn, the less I KNOW! Guess it's about like life in general.

Re: REDDING DIES
jo191145,
Thank you for the clarification. Why do you prefer F/L sizing everything?

Re: REDDING DIES
Rick, The Redding set #75-38287 includes: Type-S Bushing Neck Die Body Die Competition Bullet Seater. Not sure if this covers what you are suggesting. My thought was that the neck die and body die would accomplish what a F/L die would but, in two steps instead of one. I have been re-loading since 19...

REDDING DIES
I want to upgrade from my Hornady Custom grade dies. Need the experts to educate me. All cases are annealed, pockets uniformed, flash holes deburred, trimmed to length and neck thickness trimmed. Rifle is a Savage Model 12 FLV w/ Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-16x40. Go to load is 32g v-max, 29.5g Varget, Fed...

Keith,
Another possible solution to consider would be to move West of the Rockies but, avoid California! Seriously though, we seem to have lost some of the freedoms in Oregon that we took for granted.

Re: Need some rimfire help......
Keith, I would never suggest that you pass up the opportunity to add another gun (or two ) to the collection! I think we agree that this reg. is somewhat unjust to the coyote and creates a potential for making the hunter look like the bad guy because he (she) is handicapped by prohibiting centerfire...

Re: Need some rimfire help......
Sounds like a pretty stupid regulation to me, to put it bluntly. I would go with a 12 gauge and pay very close attention to distance.

Case Production
I started reloading in 1980, but only recently have I started paying attention to "complete" case preparation. By complete I 'am referring to such things as neck thickness trimming, flash hole deburring, primer pocket uniforming, and annealing. In the old days I FL sized, trimmed for lengt...

Re: Savage accuracy
Captqc,
Thanks for the welcome. I too think the MPI Stock is a good way to go. If a guy is a left hand Savage shooter, the choices get mighty slim! You can get one from the bottom of the barrel or the top. Have not found one from the middle.

Re: Savage accuracy
I grew up a Rem. 700 guy (I'm 45). Wanted to buy a .204 on a tight budget and was talked into ordering a Savage Model 12 FLV. I did not plan on liking it, after all, it's ugly, tupperware stock, poorly finished, and the way they are manufactured they should not group well at all. That was almost two...
