Glen, If the bullets are a buck a piece and you buy a box of fifty, you,ll have enough to check your zero and kill a critter each year for many years. You would pay $5 a year for bullets anyway so what's the big deal if you spend $10 for better performance. That's a very small part of the investment...

For 40 years my answer would have been simply 220 Swift! The problem now is I have a couple 204's and I haven't fired either of the Swifts in about a year. I think I just answered your question.

Try contacting Savage before you do anything drastic. They want it to shoot well just as much as you do.
