Aftermarket stock for Savage 11
Any one know who makes aftermarket stocks for savage model 11 besides boyds? I emailed bell and Carlson waiting to hear back from them. It's the new style with the bolt release on the bottom and I think the action screws are 4.40" factory sporter weight barrel. Trying to stay under the $400 ran...

New glass for a 700
A few months back I ordered a new scope for my 700 .223. This rifle had been in the safe for over a year without good glass. Got a relative who got me a deal on a Vortex viper HS-T 6-24x50. Finally received it Tuesday night can't wait to try it out. Not a leupy but I'm still happy. Now to just put a...

Re: Cooper curse
I'm in love with the wood stick on this rifle. But let's say a guy wants a synthetic stock would I be able to get the "phoenix" style stock from Cooper?

Re: Winchester brass
savageboy23-- Send them a letter and enclose a photo of the casing. You might find a bag of 100 new casings in your mailbox shortly after they inspect the photo. Then again, you may not get anything, but it is good for them to know their quality control inspections aren't working 100%. I had Winche...

Re: Bell and Carlson stock for howa 1500
Thanks Bodei. I just ordered the medalist weatherby style 6505 in tan/black web. Should look pretty good on my stainless action and barrel . Now all I need to do is sell my Boyd's stock and factory one . If I like this one I'm ordering another for my .243. http://i1060.photobucket.com/albu...

Re: Cooper curse
My wife says the same thing. We need to figure out RIOs secret or have his wife talk to our wives so she can set them straight :D Well Bob, the 'secret' is that when we first got together, I sat her down, told her "I'm a rifle loony and there's no cure", told her there would always be gun...

Re: Cooper curse
RIO- I'm still saving my pennies for that scope . I think I'm gonna go with the 4.5-14 vx-3 though. I'm still on the naughty list with wifey for buying the rifle so I won't push a scope too far yet lol. I've tried explaining the rifle nut part without success but she may come around....hope...

Re: Cooper curse
So I've diagnosed myself as being a rifle nut. What's the cure? I don't even have a scope on this cooper and I already would like another in .308! My wife said no more guns .

Very nice looking rifle Rick! Wish my wife would have bought me a cooper for Christmas. I'm pretty jealous of your cooper collection!

Re: Cooper curse
I should have mentioned my purpose with the rifle sorry :wall:. It will see some skippy action but mostly paper and coyote hunting. I also have a remington 700 chambered in 220 swift. My goal is to teach skippy to fly this upcoming season. Last season I didn't have the chance as I was too busy assis...

I have finally been bitten by the cooper curse . Now my question if I were to email Cooper and give them the serial # would they be able to get me a copy of the factory 3 shot group? Hey, now you'll have to change your screen name to "Cooperboy"! :D That's funny being I only own 2 sa...
