Safe organization

Has anyone else had issues organizing rifles in there safe? I own a cannon 28 gun and lucky if I can get 14 scoped rifles in it. Budget won't allow for another safe(don't really need it yet either)so I need some creative suggestions please. :D

Bell and Carlson stock for howa 1500

Anyone have experience with the bell and Carlson "weatherby" style medalist stock on a howa 1500? I have 2 howa's in short action calibers that I want to replace the stocks to composite materials. One stock is replacing a hogue the other a Boyd's. I know the weatherby vanguard and howa 150...

Re: Rimfire scope rings

Got my glass on her. I used some cheapo rings I had laying around for the time being. I plan on ordering a Boyd's stock for this in the near future so I'll switch god rings with some leupolds at that time. http://i1060.photobucket.com/albums/t451/savageboy23/90E89D80-CA90-43A5-9F13-D498A09A09D3_zpst...

Hogue stock from howa 1500

I have a black hogue stock of a howa 1500 .243 I'd like to sell. It's a short action. Stock is still on rifle and in near new condition. Never been hunted with. I'm looking at getting a Bell and Carlson. Asking $80 shipped. Pm me for photos or more info

Rimfire scope rings

This question may have been asked already. If so my apologies. What are your favorites for a rimfire? I've got a Remington 597 in the safe in need of glass. I know they are a notorious rimfire for jamming but I can't seem to part with it as it's the first rifle I ever purchased. I'm ordering a leupo...

Re: Scope magnification advice

Thanks for the responses guys. I guess it looks like my pennies will be saved and spent fearlessly on a leupold 6.5-20. I'm sure I'll fall in love with it and have to purchase 2 more :D 1 for my 700 .204 and 1 for my 223 ar.

Scope magnification advice

I'm sure this question has been answered numerous times so my apologies for asking it again. I couldn't find a dedicated thread to look up an answer so here it goes. I'm starting to save my pennies for a new scope. I have a model 700 .223 remington in my safe without glass on it. My main purpose wit...

Re: Winchester brass

savageboy223-- I'm glad you followed up and contacted Winchester. These big companies make millions of casings and a bad one is going to slip through once in awhile, but unless you tell them about it, they won't put a name or face on the incidence. Like my Grandpa used to say, "It is the squea...

Re: Winchester brass

I received a voicemail yesterday from winchester about the brass. I've been playing phone tag with them now :wall:. Edit I finally got a hold of winchester. They emailed me a prepaid UPS label to send the defective case back and upon inspection by quality control I should receive a check for a new b...

Re: Winchester brass

savageboy23-- Send them a letter and enclose a photo of the casing. You might find a bag of 100 new casings in your mailbox shortly after they inspect the photo. Then again, you may not get anything, but it is good for them to know their quality control inspections aren't working 100%. Silver fox I...

Winchester brass

While looking over some winchester brass for my 220 swift before I prepped it I found a case that looks like the mouth was cracked and it folded back over. Anyone else have issues like this with win brass? The case chambered in the rifle but I'm afraid to load it. I thought about emailing them but w...

Re: .204r savage 12fv makeover

Looks amazing. I have a savage 11 in 204 I was thinking about getting a Boyd's stock for. I've got Boyd's stocks on a howa 223, ruger 10/22, and my savage 9317.
