Prochrono Digital Chronograph

Post by GaCop103 »

If anyone is considering the above model chronograph, I can safely say you will not be disappointed. I replaced a Beta Chrony that went belly up and I like the Prochrono Digital for ease of set up. I've had mine for a month now and find the numbers on the unit, mounted on my tripod, are easy to read 10 feet away. The one down side (if you want to call it that) is I have to walk to the unit to check SD, ES, Hi/Low and average velocity.

Have that one also, priced right, always gives a reading, easy to operate... what's not to like??? A printer would be a nice luxury item to have, but some of us can't have everything!
Take a kid to the range, both of you will be glad you did. remy3424

No, the Beta never fell or was knocked around. I built a custom fit plywood carry case for it so it was babied all the while I've had it.

I recently bought a Prochrono digital.
It's very easy to use. Haven't owned any other chronographs to compare with, but it does everything I expected it to.
You can get a USB connection and software to hook up to your computer after, or during shooting.
If you connect it to your laptop at the range, you can control it from there (to change/delete strings/shots and review data).
The graphing function seems pretty basic and I haven't found a way to store bulk sessions and build up a history of every shooting session yet. If anyone else has done a little more work on this software, please let me know your findings/opinion.
