09 buck

Post by Glen »

Yesterday evening @ 4:40 this little feller decided to check out the feeder. Little did he know I was standing in the brush 75yds from him. He took a 240gr Cheap Shot from my 50cal Winchester ML thru the right shoulder completely disabling that leg & on thru the lung area. The bullet took out the area where the lungs attach to each other & made a wonderful mess of things in there. He went about 70yds & piled up. He aint a bigun but by golly he'll almost finish filling the freezer. :biggrincamo:

Them thar lil bucks are much better eatn' anyway Glen, we all know that. Any more, a "meat" deer is usually what I'm looking for, but will not pass up a nice set of antlers, even though they make lousy stew!

Congrats on a nice little buck. :D

Aint too sure I would like antler stew myself Rick. Seems it would take a whole box of saltines to thicken it up enough to keep it on the spoon!!

Thanks!!
