Sage Rat Trailer

Post by Snoplop »

Have a disheveled 5th wheel on parents property - (located south of La Pine) a tree took it out and the squirrels have taken it over. That said, I've dug around for pictures of a shooting trailer and have come up empty. The frame on this trailer is still good so thought it would be perfect for a shooting platform...among other things. Wondered if any have pictures of over the bed trailer shooting platforms.
Thanks

Rick will probably chime in and show a few photos of his group and some trailer ideas. You might search back on past posts and photos of trailer platforms on the site. That should make you a good platform to work on and from. Bill K :)

Yea, did a search but a majority are photobucket shots and no longer show up. For some reason I just get a photobucket gif..

6.5'x14' utility trailer. Nothing special, gets the 4 wheeler out there and acts as some needed elevation to get above the grass.

Snoplop:

Check out my recent post on shooting trailers, it might give you some ideas.

Here's my setup on the ranchers 5th wheel flatbed trailer up front at the highest point of the bed. It would be similar to what you've got to work with once you strip the trailer down to the frame:

Good luck with the project, you've got a great foundation to start with, and be sure to post pics of how it turns out. :D

IF you have a PU set up for a 5th wheel with the high hitch point, you're all set, otherwise, not so much.

Thanks - Yea, have a hitch for just about every scenario- the 5th wheel trailer frame converted to a shooting trailer should be just the ticket.
