Gopher Shootin again

Post by PDogRex »

Was able to get out and give some gophers more flying lessons!
The hay fields were recently cut and I was able to get out and do some shootin’!
Still lots of targets and lots of “flying lessons given”.
Even though this has been a great year for precipitation, I would expect that the fields will not
grow as quickly as earlier this spring. Hopefully prolonging shootin’ season!

Good you have some shooting. I do some, but with the amount of snow and precip we had the weeds and grasses are growing full tilt, higher than normal and drying out fast however, but still to high to get a good look at many critters.
When the pivots are cut, then shooting improves, but the open range areas, no so much.

Thanks for the photos, we do like photos. :)

Hey Rex,speaking of photos, any shots of your setup, rifles, area of the grand event? We've all seen blown up GS's and PD's, but sure like to see where it all took place and what you had on hand to make it all happen.

Glad you were able to get out there. It's too bleedin' hot now here, all the rats are down for the season, and the rock chucks are not far behind as it's already 90*F by 10:00.

Same around here also Rick. Temps go up into the 90-100's and the chucks and squeeks head underground for coolness. I guess I should also, when it is this hot, but cabin fever for so long this winter, just makes me want to go checking anyway, even if nothing comes out to play longer.
