204 extractor

Post by _RJ_ »

Do any of you guys run a Sako style extractor on your Remington 700? My stock extractor is still giving me problems and I'm looking to upgrade.

So far all my 700's have given me no trouble, and that is since my first 700 model. Fortunate I guess. Bill K

I just ordered a factory replacement from brownells. It had extraction issues since day one so it's not a hand load issue.

I have them on several of my REM 700 rifle, and love them! Well worth the 150.00 to have them installed.

I had a similar problem with a 700 in 223. My gunsmith found a rough spot in that chamber, polished it for me and I haven't had any problems since with the Remington extractor.
